On this new dose of 1.25units, I am seeing that he is surfing. He never really surfed before, he would drop and then come right back up. I am assuming the dose and his depot are keeping him surfing longer now.

I just looked at his SS! He’s looking so much better and I’m so proud of you for shooting the PMPS!!!!

I’m assuming you’ll get a +1 so I’ll check back in. His PMPS was on the rise from +9.25 and he could have actually gone a little higher and the PMPS is a second dip. We wouldn’t know without a +11.

If he doesn’t shoot up as the morning cycle’s insulin wears off, then be prepared that when he onsets, he could stay flat or drop.

Does onset mean at +1 or +2?

Ok....+1, 133 human meter.
I gave him his 2nd 1/2 of his canned food earlier tonight....so in other words he ate 1 can at PMPS.
Do I need to give him some LC food now?

It can vary by car but with Lantus, typically +2.

That’s a good food spike for him. Normally you give him 1/3 can at PMPS and 1/2 can at +1 but since he’s had the whole can now and he’s got a nice food spike, I’d wait and see where he is at +2. Whether he comes down or bounces, we will get an idea if we are getting a lot closer to a good dose.

Looks to me like he might do something similar to last night. I’d let him go until +4 or +5 ...whichever you are most comfortable with.
