Trix is looking good today...happy appy, snuggles, general feistiness. We're still on a good roll with the gelcap, although I did get a hiss last night AFTER it was down and she started walking away!

I am in a funk today, though. Yesterday, my Dad had a follow-up appointment with his oncologist because his WBC was a bit low on chemo day last week. The stand-in doc (my Dad's regular doc was on vacation) wanted my Dad to come back for this follow-up to see if he needed a shot of neulasta - all very basic stuff for the protocol my Dad is on. When my parents went yesterday, his WBC was back in the normal range all on it's own, but his markers have started rising again (two tests in a row) and he has lost some weight. The doc is concerned and has ordered a CT scan for tomorrow, with another follow-up appointment next week. Since we were really only expecting a report on the WBC issue, we felt pretty blind-sided...a total deja vu to this time last year. My anxiety is pretty darned high right now, and I can't think too terribly straight.

Today also would have been my GA civvie Mario's 20th birthday. Add to that Doodle's diagnosis and Will's Max's crossing, and all the other L&LL kitties who aren't feeling 100%, it's just an emotionally overwhelming day overall.

So even if I don't get to many condos today, please know that I am thinking of everyone here.....

It is a work day, so time to get to it...

Amy

(((Amy))), sending calming hugs your way. I'm glad Trix is feeling good. :DKeeping your Dad in my thoughts.
Milestones (like our GA's bdays) are always tough, but especially so when your plate is already full. Please take care of yourself. :bighug:

We are sending all of our best thoughts for your Dad and hope that this is just one of those fluctuations (like there seem to be in all medical test results). Try not to over-worry. His regular doctor will be back soon and can put it all in perspective.

Trixie, your mamabean needs you to cooperate with your gelcaps today.

Mario is watching over you, he's there, you know!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Sending vines for a good scan tomorrow for your dad. At least Trixie is a bright spot in your day. I always think a little hiss (considering all we do to them) is a good sign, the spunk is still there.:p:p

Oh Amy. I have had those days lately too. Lots of good vines for your dad and that it is just a quick little issue. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Mario is celebrating big with all the other kitties. It has been emotional lately at our house too as you know. ((((HUGS))))

Big hugs for you, Amy. Medical issues can be such a roller coaster. Paws crossed for a good result tomorrow. And, yes, we like to see a feisty Trixie. :) :joyful:

((((Amy)))), it always seems to come in multiples. Thinking of you today.:bighug::bighug:

Good girl Trix, give your momma a cuddle today - she needs it.

Amy, sending prayers for your dad for a positive result for the scan. I am glad that Trixie is feeling well.

Big huge :bighug: s to you.....A few weeks ago, I had a pretty rough go of it and feeling off myself.....It is so hard when it seems like so much is coming down at one time. It also has to be tough when it is around a birthday as well.

Sending lots of vines to your dad for a good report when his regular doctor comes back and for the furbabies to continue to do go.

I like that she hissed at ya AFTER the gelcap...it was just her way of saying, "I know it had to be done, but I am gonna get the last word in. " :P
