Ugh...she was fine until tonight when she started acting really bad again. She's threw up twice, it was very small, liquid spots though...she's had diarrhea that almost looks green, she's burning up though I've yet to take her temp. She did eat at her PMPS, but I can't remember how much. She ate up the liquified chicken breast I gave her at lunch(liquified because her teeth weren't doing so hot on cubed). I'm not too sure if it's an emergency, but I'm really worried...what might be going on?

Hi Cindy, So sorry to hear Tip is not feeling well. Can you remind us what's been going on with her? Is she still on the pain meds? Fever is indicative of an infection. if I remember correctly, she has a dental coming up? Is there something going on in her mouth?

Re: 3/17-Tip-AMPS-322...PMPS-287...+6-212 Sick again, help??

Yeah. She's on tramadol 1/6th of a 50mg pill, she's on an anti-nausea pill, she finished her antibiotics for a URI on friday evening I believe, she's had pancreatitis and I'm not sure if that's still going on. We only know of one so far, but a tooth has disintegrated down to the root. The dental is this thursday.

Okay, she just went to the litterbox, still no chance to get a ketone test tonight, but it isn't green itself, but there's a lot of mucus.

Can you take her temp? If you're nervous about Tip, I always take that as a sign that your gut is telling you to do something. You're the best gauge of whether it's a trip to the ER.

I went to take her temp, but found what looks like blisters on her butt. I'm not sure what they are, but they're making me nervous.
I want to take her to the ER, but my grandpa is saying no because of a lack of money, I'm hoping they'd have a payment plan I can use? I might be able to get a ride from my mom, this is just a mess...I stil haven't taken her temp...

Re: 3/17-Tip-AMPS-322...PMPS-287...+6-212 Sick again, help??

I agree with Sienne. If you think she has a temp, you need to take her to the vet. I've rarely heard of a cat running a temp with pancreatitis.

Re: 3/17-Tip-AMPS-322...PMPS-287...+6-212 Sick again, help??

Blisters on her butt may be an issue with her anal glands. Google anal glands on a cat and see if those images look similar. I tend to agree with Sienne, if you're really worried, get her to a vet.

Re: 3/17-Tip-AMPS-322...PMPS-287...+6-212 Sick again, help??

Well, one of them is right on one of the anal glands, the other one isn't...I don't think I found the right pictures to know though?

Cindy

If it is her analysis glands, they can abscess and burst and it can make her very, very sick. She needs to go to the vet sooner rather than later.

So I should go to the ER vet tonight? I did get a picture if that'll help at all...

You c&s post it if you want but if she's acting sick, has a temp, and has bumps on her anal sacs...the green could be pus perhaps.

Yes...healing vines, Cindy. I'm sorry...but it's better to be safe.

Sending more good thoughts for Tip (and you!). Glad to hear you're taking her in.

Alright, had a lot of calling around because apparently they won't touch her with a 10ft pole unless we have the money. She was acting better after I got half-way through this list of 5 ER vets, and eventually got one to be okay with it, but a vet on call said they felt it wasn't an emergency, alarming, but not an emergency, and given how late it is, so long as she's constantly monitored throughout the night, and doesn't get worse, to take her in tomorrow morning at 9am.

Re: 3/17-Tip-AMPS-322...PMPS-287...+6-212 Sick again, help??

No, but she has a vet appt in about 2 hours, that was the soonest they could get her in. and when I get home from that I'll post a new condo.
