Mannie and I have all our ailing kitties in our thoughts today - be well little ones.

With the PM cycle last night we went back to our old meter, the Maxima, and will be continuing with that meter from here on out. Perhaps I shall ceremoniously bury the Infinity in the back yard. :lol: Mannie had a day of slow descends from a nasty red at amps to a very nice 102 at +6 last night. SWEET! :-D We seem to have spiked a little at +1 this morning - I am hoping it is just a food spike, and not the beginning of a bounce.

This morning found Mannie camped out in the nanner pile, major ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz's in progress. :cool: I hated to wake him up.... It was nice to be greeted with purrs and squinty eyes when I did. Testing was a purring event, breffis was alot of nom nom purrrrrrrrrr. How can a cat eat and purr at the same time... :cool: A story from last night's condo - just because it made me laugh, and is so Mannie: "I let Mannie outside late this afternoon - my goodness he was so happy - sniffing, exploring. Well it got to be close to test/shoot/feed time, so I went and called him - and yes he will come in when called. not today.... This went on for 10-15 minutes. so I grabbed his can of food, stood on the deck, banged the can with a spoon, yelling "soups on!". :lol: :lol: :lol: I have never ever seen him move so fast. I didn't know the boy had it in him. Across the back yard, across the patio, up the steps, across the deck - 8 seconds flat. Maybe he should take up track and field. :shock: Mannie's motto?: never ever miss a meal. :lol:"

My Friends!!! The full moon is coming!! We need to celebrate, don't you think? It's the Full Worm Moon (worms??? - ugh...), or some call it the Full Maple Sugar Moon (I like that one better) So.... party planning session today? See you guys soon! ~~ Mannie

Oh my gosh that story is hilarious!!!!! He is like a dog... almost LOL. Mannie is the best!!!! Hope its not a bounce Michelle. I think burying that meter would be therapeutic don't you?

Morning Michelle! Mannie's numbers look better already with the new meter. I bet that afternoon outing becomes a daily ritual with you and Mannie! How cute! My Siamese kitty used to play "catch me if you can" making me chase him around the 2nd floor walkway of our apartments when I opened the door to pick up the newspaper.

Yes, the full maple sugar moon! And this year is expected to be one of the best for sugaring here in the Northeast. The sap is running and conditions are ideal. Of course, worms are nice, too, but they're still buried in the snow drifts! Well, whatever the chef and his crew decide to prepare, it will be delicious. If they can find worms, they can use them for fishing. Where shall the party be?

Great story about Mannie and his food! And coming when called!! I hope his numbers this morning are just a food spike. Congrats on ditching the Infinity!!

Mannie, thank you for the lovely birthday cake. You and the kitties did a great job, and it was delicious.

p.s. this full moon is supposed to be a "super moon" because it is so close to the Earth. Already it looks gigantic.

Chef Mannie, Worms have lots of protein and no carbs. Maybe we could grill them and sprinkle a little maple sap on top, for flavor? Or put them in a stir-fry with fresh herbs and just a touch of maple syrup? Or we can use them as bait and eat the fish instead of the worms. Waddya think?

Nice cycle for Mannie last night.....early end to the PJ Party but Mannie had a great run of numbers! Mike and John were holding down the fort :lol: :lol: Love the food story....maybe you need to get one of those triangle things like they used to have on farms..."DINNERS READY!!!!" :lol: :lol:

Mannie...you and de Binkster been in BIG trouble lately. Tess and me wants lots more sparklys. We're ready to plan the sugar maple full moon party!!!!!

Hi Lisa - I am assuming that they still have some on the shelf, though I do believe that it was discontinued. The rep told Ann of Ann and Tess that they will continue to make the strips as long as there is a demand. so hopefully we are good to go. The ADW is selling the meter, hocks is not. Both sites are also selling the strips. And yes on the Infinity.... likes the meter itself, hated the inflated readings.

Ella - wow on the sugaring! Guess there is something to be said for hard winters then. Mannie is clueless on where to party. Since it is a maple sugar moon he thinks it should be somewhere in the NE. hmmmmmm..... Really on the moon position - I will have to pay attention...

Hi Ann, and Maggie - so agreed. He does love it outside. He stays in the yard, but it does have lots of places to explore. Many many times I know I will end up with that "dinner bell". :lol:

You had mentioned in one of your condos about using the monojet syringes.....Well, I decided to buy some.....Used one this morning...Wow what a difference.....Had used the BD brand....Love the Monojets

Hi Tena - oh YAY on the monojets! They are better. I am so glad that you like them. I used to use BD's too - vet prescribed - until i heard from a few here (Ann, and Ella) on how much better the monojets were. :-D :-D :-D and thank you for the rest - you guys are too kind....

Yo Chef Mannie! Lookin' really good on the new meter! We can have the full maple syrup moon party in my barn if everyone gets here early and helps shovel the snowdrifts away from the door!

Can't promise any worms though.

Moonie! Copper! I am soooooooo glad that you both passed vet! i was worried..... Isn't having the party at Rusty's barn the bestest idea ever? We have to do some shoveling, but that will be OK. Hey Gracie - I am sooooo sad today, we lost two of our good friends. I will see what rusty thinks... i was thinking maybe we could set aside sometime to go there, where the veil is, and visit, ya know a special remembrance for those we just lost. it's not far from the barn.... I hope Tori and Boris aren't scared. it would be good if we can tell them it is Ok. We will plan more tomorrow. ~~ Mannie
