Billy boy is continuing with his usual numbers this morning. I have to go out soon : I'm running out of test strips. He looked like he was in a fool mood this morning and wouldn't let me prick his ears, I wasted three strips before I could get a reading. Oh, does he hate the AMPS and PMPS. He's just too excited thinking about his food. :lol:

Hi Manouk,
Some people feed a little treat while they are testing to distract their kitties. A freeze-dried chicken or turkey treat might work for you. Which meter are you using? I just got the FreeStyle Lite, which takes a very small drop of blood and even allows you to add blood to the strip if you do it within a minute (I don't know of any other meter that does this; normally you have to start over with a new strip if you don't get a sufficient blood sample).

You may be seeing a bit of a bounce off of those blues last night. If you can squeeze in a test or two this cycle, it will help to see when the bounce clears.

I am using an Accu Chek Compact Plus... Works fine, actually! Doesn't need that much blood and I believe I can add to the sample too if I do it quickly. Problem is myself; I still haven't mastered the testing skills! :lol: It'll come, I'm sure. Everything went well this time around and Billy just purred away during the test. He's an angel when he's not hungry!

I just tested him at +2. Now I'll be off to the Pharmacy buying supplies. I should be home to test +4 or at least +5. =)
