Thanks Miriam; she did have a good one yesterday, and today she is off to a good start, too. Ronnie, I didn't get up to test at her mid cycle. I thought I'd wake up but guess I'll have to set alarm next time. I'm still using Vet strips.

Hello there!

I'm not sure that I visited with you before!
Looks like Maggie is doing well, that's wonderful. I've been know to sleep thru alarms too. I found that drinking lots of water before going to bed gets me up better than an alarm.... something you may want to consider.

I'm going to be blunt, because I do that, and make a couple of comments. You can chose to ignore me if you wish... it's ok.

Your SS says that you shot a skinny dose in the AM yesterday... so technically in the part of the SS where you write your dose, you should write SK0.5 or 0.5sk - point is something obvious that people can see easily.

Also, if would be nice if you could try to get bed time spot checks. Again, that's your bedtime, not the cat  . Cats have a different cycle in the evening and it's an important one to document.

ETA - one last thing, pls try to add the link to yesterday's condo to today's. There are a lot of kitties on the board and it's hard to keep track of what's going on from day to day.

Enjoy your evening.

Hi Helene,
Thank you for your comments, and no, I would never ignore them, as you are trying to help. I'm still a newbie, so any advice from you and others is always appreciated and well taken. Ronnie and Luna have helped me along the way, too. I'm sorry; I could have sworn I had my previous day's condo in first post. what I gave her was just a little less that half a unit. I am still using the unit syringes, not the half mark.

Nice numbers today!

And you're doing well Ann, these little things take some getting use to - you'll get the hang of it :-D

have a good evening!! Tummy rubs for Maggie cat_pet_icon

Thanks Ronnie & Luna. I'm learning with a little help from my friends like you and everyone. It does take some time. This is a wonderful, supportive forum. Hugs to Luna from Maggie! :YMHUG:

P.S. I wanted to add that sometimes I explain in the Remarks more for my Vet, as I give her a copy of this SS so she can see how Maggie is doing weekly on the Lantus. The Vet is not used to his clients home testing, but she is working with me. I hope she will see that this is so much better than having an Owner coming in weekly for a glucose test and suggest it more to other clients.

that's a good to hear Ann, this in the end will help your vet to treat other kitties, as it has mine, she keeps Luna's SS in a separate folder as an example.

I'm glad to hear you're keeping good contact with your vet. There's a lot to learn about FD, and it's even better that we as clients, can help them along, and even better that they work with us. Good for u!! :thumbup

Any chance of getting some spot checks in the evening? Getting a curve sometime soon might also be helpful. I'd like to see if Maggie is getting any green that we don't know about.
