Hi Smoochie went very low today, first time I've seen him that low so got very worried and he didn't have any obvious symptoms but kept checking him as his AMPS number was 131 and at +4 he got down to 34!!!

I gave him some food straight away and some snacks/treats and a little bit of golden syrup and tested him 20-30mins later and got a reading of 67 so he was going up again. At +5 so half hour later he went down again to 50.

He's been in the greens all day and was wondering if a Lantus dosage decrease is now something I should be doing? Thank you for help

Also quick question when I get 1 unit into the syringe there is always a bubble...I flick it and can't get rid of the bubble inside every single time am I doing something wrong or would this mean I'm actually constantly giving him say 0.75units instead of 1unit because of the bubble or does everyone have a small bubble too?

Great catch! They frequently don't show any signs when they have a low number. That is why it is so important that we test!
By the time they are showing signs of a hypo, they can be dangerously low!

Absolutely so glad I’m home testing and I wouldn’t have known any of this if it weren’t for you all on here! :):):)
