I tested Max (twice) this morning and his AMPS was HI. I don't know why! It just seemed to come out of nowhere. And to make things worse, I gave him another fur shot this morning! I've not had one since the last time I told you guys. Not a great start to the day. I'm home today so it looks like Max will be getting his plain chicken and broths again throughout the day.
For the last several days Max's abdomen has seemed firm and bloated. At first I thought maybe he ate or drank too much but it's not gone away at all. I took him to the vet yesterday and they did an x-ray. Vet said everything looks ok (no noticeable tumors or fluid accumulation or anything) except that the liver is enlarged. He's pretty sure it's because of the pancreatitis. He said the liver is usually the last thing to become affected and there's nothing we can really do until he's past all this pancreas business. He recommended milk thistle to help support the liver. Has anyone heard of this?
No vomiting, diarrhea or constipation since I posted last. Whew!
