Good morning! Any chance you can grab a few tests during the PM cycle? Most cats have a more active cycle. (meaning bigger swing from preshot to nadir and back to the next preshot). It would be good to know if Larry is going lower than we know at night which might explain his higher numbers in the morning. I suspect he is.

I know its a pain, but it can be really helpful. And you will feel better if you see that he actually can produce a lower number than you think.

I have gotten in the habit of grabbing a quick test if i happen to wake up in the night to go to the washroom. Alternately, you could set an alarm to grab a test at +6 or so.
 
yea i will see when i can. the last time i did i was barely able to care for him the next day. i need the sleep i get. cant really risk that. i will do my best for us, tho.
wish i had a friend to help. we could get so much further. oh well.

I dont mean to stress you out, Pam. I know you are doing the best you can, and I am sure Larry appreciates it. But his spreadsheet, in my opinion, makes me wonder if he might be going lower on his PM cycle. What I am trying to figure out is if he is having a daily bounce due to low number at night (which would mean too much insulin, possibly) or if he is not getting enough, which is why we dont see a lot of result in the day time. They only way to know this is by getting nighttime data.

Again. My opinion only. Its your cat. And others may have other thoughts.
 
oh, i know u have his best interest at heart, like i do :) and i appreciate that so much. i am going to do my very best, and do all i can. thank u for caring.
 
I think that's all any of us can do... our best in our situation. I don't have much experience, so I just keep keeping my fingers crossed that Larry will give you some better #'s soon.
 
thanks holly. it may not seem like it but i am trying really hard. pushing myself as far as i can. i love my baby, ill figure out something. i appreciate u all caring.
 
I think you're trying plenty hard. Don't get discouraged, which I know can happen when you're not seeing the results you hope for.
