Hello,
Today I monitor Ducia in her 6th cycle on 1U dose.
She had relatively calm PM cycle, elevated +10, +11 , AMPS and +1. After calm PM cycle an active AM cycle may come and I ask that you take a look at her hourly updated SS and help me plan my actions according to the number at hand. She used to going lower in the AM cycles, sometimes very fast.
I have couple of questions.
At AMPS time she was given very slowly 10 ml water via Etube and vomited a few minutes later.
The AB she takes could not be the reason for vomit as 7 hours has passed since the last dose. The food she ate at AMPS is her regular 6% Friskie Classic Pate. I am beginning to think that it was the amount of water of 10 ml at once that caused it. The 10-12 ml used to be her regular AMPS intake. I give it thru Etube very slowly.
She does not appear dehydrated because her litterbox visits are regular, her gums are moist as well as her poop is moist. If tented her fur goes back down without staying up.
Q.#1 If she refuses to keep 10 ml water dosage in and vomits again, what can I do to keep her hydrated?
Q.#2 On the ER visit re: infection the vet commented that was well hydrated and that we should stop giving her 75 ml SQ fluids daily. So we did stop on 3/10. Should we resume the SQ fluid therapy of 75 or 50 ml daily?
Please let me know what your thoughts.
I write her water in the Remarks section of the SS
