Good morning! I tried a btb but it was just a doze, I kept thinking of going to superstore for insulin etc :roll: . I haven't checked their prices yet so will see.

Thanks for visiting last night Julie and Marje :-D . I'd love to try the shower fluids thing but I have trouble doing the testing sitting with the "girls" in the way :lol: ...I found out kneeling with her at chest level or standing works mobility and grip-wise :? . Yesterdays condo: Chyna 3/15

I'm not sure what the high blue/low yellows are about. The only thing different is added fluids daily (which usually make her go lower) and I added raw to her AM+9 yesterday and to her AMPS meal today. Does raw spike some kitties? It's supposed to be low carb/low phos (NV Lamb). I'll have to look up what she did last time trying raw but I think she was all over the place anyways with bounces. Or it could just be her being a cat, or she is allergic to the duck that I added in Wednesday to rotation here and there...I noticed a few scratching times but will keep watching her.

Chyna seems to be feeling better :-D :-D . Maybe she just needed a good poop and for stuff to settle ;-) , since all fuds overnight were eaten and so were both breffis bowls this morning. She seems pretty happy today, purring away in her tree in the morning sun.

One thought for the IV pole is the Sally Ann. They seem to randomly get in medical stuff. Also I have seen one at Value Village, but with both those places it would be hit and miss. Maybe ask at the hospital what they do with their old ones?

We have a medical supply store here that sells and rents medical supplies. If there's such a store in your area, it might be worth checking into. Good luck with your shopping!

I am SO glad Chyna is feeling better today - such wonderful news!!!

I wonder if the fuds is spiking Chyna, just like Trix's LC/LoPHOS Paw Lickin' makes her BGs go crazy. It's frustrating. As we know, ECID....it seems that what is LC for one cat just might not be LC for another, for whatever crazy kitty reason. Interestingly, Trix's BGs also started gonig up with the daily fluids, too (once we figured out we needed to change her insulin shot location, that is!). I do wonder if it's a coincidence or not...I'll be curious to see how both Chyna and Trix travel this new path they're both on.

Chyna is really keeping you guessing, isn't she. Well, that's her job! That's why we have cats - they are never boring or predictable. :-D

So glad to hear she is feeling so well and eating all her fuds.

Great to hear Chyna's feeling better. Makes it much easier for us to keep doing all we're doing when we see some positive results!

Now Miss Chyna...you seem to have gotten a little turned around there at +2....don't worry, I won't tell anyone you got a little lost...just casually turn around like you knew the whole time that you meant to go the other way ~ China

How about a cheap coat rack for holding the fluids bag? Wonder if you could find one second hand.

Good luck figuring out the fuds. Neko seems pretty impervious to variation in raw proteins as long as they are in the 3-5% range.

I am glad to hear that Chyna is feeling better and enjoying her day in the sun. I am sure that makes you feel good with all the effort and care that you give Chyna.

You probably will get a lower cycle tonight. It might be just the cat thing that we can't figure out.

I enjoyed the video. I am doing some work for my job and it was a nice break.

Hope you accomplished all your shopping. I did mine yesterday; plenty of cat/drooler food & treats, 80 lbs of litter arrived on Friday, insulin supplies arrived from ADW yesterday, new back up pen in fridge. Life is good :lol: Now to make a list for human food!

Hi Tricia, she does like to make me think a lot :lol: . The shopping was good, other than superstore pharmacy wasn't open till 12 today (the store opens at 7am) and I had to drive to Wal Mart whose pharmacy opens at 10 which is right before I got there! Oh well, it was a good price there and the girl was very helpful :razz: . I hope your sharing makes others laugh too ;-)

Hi Jane, it is good to see her slurp her fuds up and purr. 80lbs of litter! Wow. The shopping is done...1/4 of the bags were for the bean, 3/4 for the cat :lol:

The sun is shining and it's just barely above zero...I should do something, but I think a nap is in order :razz:

Ok, YUCK. The raw is definitely off the table for now, until I can try figure out what is going on with the higher numbers :roll: . Could just be a dosecrease needed but we will see...

Oh Chyna - YUCK is right! FWIW, we came down the scale in .5U amounts but about the time we came to the 3-3.5U dose, we had to switch to .25U decreases.

Yes, it was DH and I chortling on the ferry. I started laughing and he peaked over at my iPad so I had to restart it again. Laughter is one of the great parts of this board. :cool:

I'd really think about decreases by 0.25u.

Sometimes with food changes, numbers can be effected for a few days.

Hi Wendy, I hope you had the volume on, that made it even funnier! The first time I watched it the sound was off on my computer but it still made me laugh :-D . I hope you had a good time for the party! If I do a dosecrease, I'll only do a 0.25u.

Thanks Sienne, I will be doing dosecreases and reducies by 0.25u now unless something weird happens. Technically she didn't earn the last reducie, but she kept going low while I was at work and I had left HC/MC out so I went down in dose to be safe and to see what she'd do. We had green every day except today (if fleeting) so I'm going to wait and see if this was the fuds...of course it's back to work tomorrow :sad:
