3/15 PMPS 96 .5 units

Today's AMPS 102, gave .5 units
+2 82
+4 73 just cruising along
+5.5 77 tested early, looks safe to leave for a few hours

PMPS 97 gave .5 units

Welcome to LL Land! Wow, what a time you've had so far. I read back and checked out Boots' SS and then read the posts again because I was just a bit stunned by it all :o
Great job on figuring out how to keep your fella safe!
What a beautiful start again today. Looks like Boots just wants to hang around long enough to meet some new friends, then will be off to find new adventures ;-)

Thanks Kim and it's nice to meet you. I see you're from the great north. Is it as cold there as it is here in MI today?

I think there was a lot of luck involved in not having any hypo issues. Since I was not here on some of those days, there were probably times in which he ventured down into low mans land and I wasn't even aware of it......or even here to be able to help.

I'm glad things are better now and we are on a smoother road. It's great to have this forum of help as it would be hard to go this road alone

We are at 11F (feels like -8F) so for us, that is incredibly warm. We have had a severely cold winter (-67F blecht) so are sooooo ready for these spring temps. But there is still about 3.5-4 feet of snow in the yard.
And yes, finding this board is a wonderful lifesaving event! Don't I know it. My first trial by fire here, ended up with me only having a few test strips and NO hc food, and a 2.5 hour drive to the city. Big GULP! I thank god still that I was here on this board and had such wonderful help that night. And I made darn sure I was never ill prepared again. Which was a good thing since Twice and I spent several occasions flirting in the low numbers :smile:

Like they say "Lantus Land and FDMB is the best place you never wanted to be"!

Boots looks like he's going to have another fabulous day for you :-D

I don't think I've said hello yet, so welcome :-D . I'm glad that Boots is giving you some beautiful greens, in a surf :mrgreen: . I agree with you, I am grateful all the time for this forum and all it does to help us with our kitties and the support :-D . I hope you're having a great day!

So far things seem to be smoothing out and becoming more stable. I have high expectations and expect nothing but good numbers the rest of the day/week.

Hi Dwight!

Looking good!

I wanted to pass on one more little bit of info for you. When cats' numbers flatten out, as Boots' are doing, the last one to come down into green numbers is typically the amps. It's because of something called the Dawn Phenomenon.

When you see the amps come down, it's just another milestone on Boots' progress for you to celebrate. :-D

So, Julie, what you are saying is I should starting seeing some green AMPS instead of the low blues I've seen in the last 4 days?
I'll take it!

That's a phenomenon I haven't heard of. I wish I had one named after me. ;-)
Anyway, I can't wait to see where we'll be at the end of this week!

I think she was more saying not to be concerned with the low blue numbers at AMPS...that number is usually one of the last to come down and stay down.

Boots had a great weekend! Almost a perfect one! The .5 seems to be a pretty good, and more importantly safe dose for him right now.

I know tomorrow means back to work, so at least you should feel a little better knowing you have a much better idea of what's going on, as well as how Boots is doing.

I'm with you on this winter! I am DONE with it! Only in Missouri is it 76 one day with snow on the ground the next!

Keep up the good work Dwight! Remember to try to get that +2 before you leave in the morning so if it's lower than the AMPS, you can leave some food down in case Boots decides to drop a little too low.

Chris, I'm so glad you chimed in tonight because about 10 min. ago I was thinking of that very conversation we had on Friday and was wondering if I should still get in a +2 before work based on how he did this weekend. So it sounds like I still should plan on that. No problem.
I agree on the .5 in that it looks like an adequate dose.
I'm still planning tonight on a +4 test at 10:30.

And I must admit that I'm more fond of the greens than the blues but I'll take it and not be greedy....especially after seeing what you and a lot of others here are dealing with, I feel really fortunate.

And I wish we could see at least a 50* day. I mean it's the middle of March and tonight it's going into the single digits and 10* wind chill tomorrow for the parade.
