during his non eating well phase...during the night every couple of hours he would wake me up and I would feed him a Tuna Squeeze Up. He was extra hungry this morning and probably had 3 between 4 & 8 am until i finally got up.

He is eating on his own more now but a bad habit has now been established :)

Eating is good. You can get rid of bad habits later. It’s been my experience that if meds get them eating nothing more sinister is going on. When meds don’t work I really worry.

He seems to be liking the Lotus Raw Venison! I am so happy. Hope he keeps liking it. I do believe in raw feeding but had gotten away from it.
 
Do you follow Susan Thixton? It got all 5 stars when I started feeding it, it was on her lust. She won’t say why. I have asked. I feed my other cat Small Batch which is on every food list but they don’t make venison. If I have to change proteins again I will feed their lamb. I dint think you can get Small Batch where you live. Lotus is also not on her list.
 
Don’t get primal freeze dried venison. It’s hard as a rock so I have to grind it and it dues suck up water too well. The duck I can crumble with my hands.
