On Friday I complained about an AM furshot. Well yesterday evening I did it again! I was so frustrated and feel so defeated after how well Lando was doing. Now here we are this morning with these crazy numbers again. So I watched a ton of videos trying to reteach myself how to do it.

I read all the comments on Fridays post and I've been doing all of those things, I've been tenting and parting the fur but I think Lando just doesn't have as much excess skin as he did before and maybe that's where it's messing me up, on top of the shorter needles. I push in the syringe all the way and feel around it, make sure it's in and is resisting going further then PTHHHBBBTTT furshot. I'd been rubbing the spot a bit afterwards and now I'm wondering if I'm pushing it out of the hole, so I'll stop doing that.

Got up early this morning, decided to give myself time to get ready 15 mins early. I really just took my time and focused on what I was doing and went slow so no furshot this am. Just need to slow down some more and not let myself get into a rush in the AM.

I'm gonna keep practicing! Gotta hone my skills up again after 2 days straight of furshots :(

Don't rub the injection site after giving the dose.
Have you thought about shaving an area to give the injection?
I did that when I was giving furshots.

I'd read lots of people do that and I didn't used to run around the area, but had seen people did it to help with the owchie, and I'm thinking I might be pushing the insulin out or something sometimes. I suspect it's a multitude of things, so I'm starting over to be basics today. It's hard parting Lando's fur because it's short and really thick and plush! He's so soft but dang that doesn't help me with the insulin.

And I am considering it! Only thing holding me back is Lando absolutely going ape sh** over hearing the buzzer. I shave my head and he runs and hides when I do, poor guy. It's on my list, if I give another furshot and can't get this under control it's gonna happen.

I'm hoping starting over from scratch, restudying, and going really slow will help me start from the basics again to get better like I was!
