That is perplexing bc in the weeks before I moved to this new apartment which was prior to February 13th, my Pur water filter was not functioning correctly probably needing a new filter. I was experiencing a run of high numbers then as well. I purchased two gallons of spring water and the numbers came down. I moved here and started using the regular tap water and numbers went up . A few days ago I bought purified drinking water and lo and behold the numbers dropped. I just installed a new Pur water filter yesterday and we're still lower than last week. Weird
