I can't see in his numbers why he would be doing this.. which leads me to 1 question: is he about to break again? Keep an eye on him after PMPS tonight.. I doubt he will break in the day cycle, but if you see a 200pt drop or more before +6, give a tsp of MC to slow him down ok? It could be that your intervention last night on the early drop caused this but I just don't see how it would. Perhaps something happened later in cycle but i just don't see how it could have.. keep an eye on him for sudden big drops. He has a history of going extremely high before dropping.

question is...I don't know what the question is. i was going to say if he's not below 50 should I just give lc?

Carolyn, is there any biological/physiological explanation for why numbers might go very high before a drop? I'm just curious how it works internally -- maybe the pancreas or the liver is reacting to something?

this is interesting indeed - going higher to go lower...wonder what class he's taking to learn this in - trapeze artistry or maybe high wire acting

no physiological explanation from me. i just see patterns. :) It's a known phenomenon though, that some cats spike very high, and some sorta high right before a big break. i think our boy is working on a dosecrease though.. let's see where he goes over the next 2 cycles but i bet we're about to be reducing
