yesterday

morning.
at least it's not higher than yesterday.

I didn't sleep very well. (but I knew that would happen) I don't have an off switch.
I spent a lot of time praying for everyone here ( and Luca to come home ) since I can't get up and wake up my DH. If I could get up , I'd probably get some major cleaning done on my own house. ;-)
I often think I could plow the back 40 in the night :lol: and by the time morning comes, I'm exhausted and get nothing done at all.


When my dd gets home, I hope that she and I together can look at Shadow's anal glands and see how they look. While stroking her in bed last night,
I did manage to push a little on that area and her rear leg reacted .... and then she threatened to leave..
maybe they are still tender from getting expressed...
or maybe they are the problem instead of teeth....
the vet's technique may have bruised her or they need it again. That one is very foreign to me since we haven't had problems with that.

Guess I'll go read up on that issue.

Good morning, Rhiannon,

Sometimes it is very difficult to "turn off" your racing mind when you are supposed to be going to sleep. When I was in college I used to "write" my papers in my head instead of getting to sleep until I finally broke myself of that habit (I used to concentrate on a "black hole" in the universe!--a "nothing").

It's good to see a lower AMBG for Shadow this morning. I hope that you will have a good day and not worry about Shadow (too much!). Don't try to find new problems to worry about and don't worry about the upcoming dental just yet!

well... i have new tho'ts.

last night I touched her bottom and she pushed my hand away with her back foot like my touching her was painful.
I had to work today but when I got home just now....
I had my daughter let Shadow stand on her while I tried to look at her butt.
I have no experience with this but I think her left side looked swollen.... the vet did express them last friday.
So I just called the vet to see if any of the vets could see her right away. Saturday at 10 am is the earliest.
So we'll go see.

I also had a moment where she came and laid on me and let me push and touch.
and she didn't react....

i'm probably just grasping at straws.....

Rhiannon, I know it's hard, but try not to worry. 136 is not too high. Hopefully Shadow's vet visit Saturday morning will clear some things up for you. I hope you can quiet your mind enough to get some sleep tonight.

Ouch, poor Shadow. It's good to go to the vet just to check. They could have expressed them but still left a little blockage of junk. I hope it's nothing at all.
