Good morning.

Osha is now up to 4.5u. Her numbers are just awful. Pink, yellow and now red. Sébastien has helped me to not be depressed about Osha and he has an amazing ability to make me laugh. All I can do is keep doing what I am doing and increase after every 6 cycles. I sure wish she could give me some better numbers, but she is in the lead on this.

I hope everyone stays safe with the storm. I was very happy to receive this email last night "Due to Winter Storm Warning in effect till 2 pm Tuesday, all Fairfax County public schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, March 14, 2017" It is our first snow day of the school year and we have 13 built into the calendar. It didn't end up being that bad here. It was mostly sleet with a couple inches of snow.

Have a good day everyone.

I hope the new dose will help flatten Osha out in some lower numbers. I know it's frustrating to see those higher numbers, but remember she is more than her numbers. I'm glad you didn't have to go out in the messy weather. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

is there a chance she has an infection or something else going on??? her numbers just seemed to go the other way over night and i know you are trying everything... any way she has been back to her cat burglar ways??? happy Sebastien is keeping your spirits up... come on Osha time to work the juice little girl :bighug::bighug:

It is very possible. I have an appointment to take her to the vet this Saturday. I am thinking she may need a dental again even though she just had one in October. Who knows....I will have the vet do bloodwork and urinalysis and check her over.

Hope you're enjoying your snow day! I'm glad the school district was proactive and canceled in advance - our university has a history of waiting until people are already on their way to school before they finally cancel.

Sorry that Osha's numbers are not what you would like, but these things can change very quickly. Just keep on keeping on!

Hope you are enjoying your "snow day".

I hope the vetty visit gives some explanation and nothing serious. I felt the same way - like I was chasing the green and it was just out of reach. Gizmo is back to 1.5U which is what he started on back in October but I finally saw some green (now we are bouncing but at least there is movement).

Did you get a lot of snow? Does Osha like to go out in it?

Right now I feel like I am chasing blue. I just don't get it. Something must be going on. I hope I get some answers, but I also hope they are easy answers.

I am sorry you are back up to 1.5u. 4.5u was the highest I got with Osha. I hope I don't need to go higher, but I will if it is necessary. I am going through pens quickly now. I am happy Gizmo gave you some green and I am sorry for the bounce.

We only got a few inches and then a ton of sleet on top of the snow. I didn't take Osha out today because it is really cold and very very windy. I have a feeling schools will be delayed tomorrow because of the ice on the roads. I hate delays because my school doesn't delay but Amaya's does, so it makes it difficult for me to get her to school.

Amanda,
I've been mulling this over for some time, Osha is approaching the one year mark and she just doesn't seem to make the reductions stick longterm.
Once Kitty has been diagnosed for over a year, some have found that taking reductions after they have dropped below 50 on three separate days, (or once below 40), can help the reductions stick.
It is also a technique that can be used if kitty is not holding reductions, even if they are newly diagnosed.
I know she's not quite a year from diagnosis, but is pretty close, so maybe it's worth considering??
