Mikan is very active this morning, running around he house like a mad girl

@Bandit's Mom, I like the idea of the threat of a dose increase! I'll see how she does today
If she doesn't quite respond, OK to increase by .25 tomorrow AM? I think I can monitor her better in the AM cycle.

She saw 61 on this dose on the 10th. It's been 7 cycles since then. Depending on what she does today, you could take her up tomorrow.

Btw, if you don't mind, can you add the FSL readings from 3/9 to 3/12 above 3/13? It's easier to see trends and count cycles without 2 sets of data for a day.

Yup, I have 11% and 13%. I'll test her soon and if still low, I'll feed her a bit of 13#. she is hungry this morning too.

I am too surprised how well the treat worked

She was 96 a +3 (wow, green ). Gave her 1/2 tsp 13%. I'll test her again at +4 before heading to work. I can come back to test her at +7 on, today.

She slowed down between +2 and +3 so maybe the 13% wasn't needed. Too soon to say. With time we will have more data on how she responds to carbs and when in the cycle she needs a little carb intervention

at +4, she was 92mg/dL. Holding well. I have to head out to work now - gave her a bite of 13%. LC pate is out just in case.

Once she flattens out, go easy on the carbs. Feeding carbs later in the cycle can reduce duration and cause numbers to rise more sharply.

I guess I still have the AT2 mindset. I got a little over-worried about 90s - come to think of it, those shouldn't be terribly alarming

Yes 90s on a human meter are on the higher end of normal numbers. You have a ways to go to before you need to worry.

Yes, the 2nd MC was excessive, I think. Now back up to 223 at +7 .

Some of it is a bounce. But yeah, carbs can reduce the duration of insulin and add to the bouncing. It's okay. You will figure out what works for her in terms of feeding the curve with time and data. She is still new to low numbers and it's better to be safe when you have to leave her.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words! I was beating myself up for giving her that second MC... Maybe she could have stayed a little lower if ..... spilled milk, I know.
