I gave him some bupe (and extra cuddles) because he seemed like his arthritis was bothering him. He perked up some after that and started playing. I gave him some slippery elm for constipation in his food this morning which had good results too so I think he’s feeling good now. I missed giving a dose of lactulose the other day and he needs that consistently. We did the first R trial last night with @Wendy&Neko and I really think it helped keep him from staying up on the red floor last night from that bad bounce. I think he would have without it. We are going to keep experimenting with that when we can, until we meet the right goal. I had to reschedule his vet appointment tomorrow, so he will go in a couple of weeks now for his exam and labs. Hoping he comes down slowly today and its a peaceful day.
He did it again. Went from 211 to 88 in an hour!
Wow. Did he have any snacks this morning. What a dive. Now the boing will come but hopefully later on.He did it again. Went from 211 to 88 in an hour!

Quite a few people I know are reporting very good results with Solensia. So he's pretty much constipated all the time now? Is that right? I hope not, but I noticed you mentioned Lactulose, so I was wondering.I did catch up on sleep this morning! He’s taking Gabapentin every day sometimes twice per day. He just seemed little more stiff looking when he was walking this morning but he soon started playing so I think he was just having a rough morning.
Does the vet think the constipation is due to CKD? I'm glad you're keeping him having BMs though. I guess he has a vet appointment in a few weeks (that you had to reschedule.) I hope that everything will be positive! You do an amazingly good job with Max.He gets constipated if I miss a day of that lactulose. His vet said to give him 2cc daily and I usually do unless he gets diarrhea which he also gets occasionally depending on what he’s eaten.
