Yes! Yes! Yes! A much nicer bg this morning....close enough to green....so happy to see this, especially after the chocolate cake debacle last night....plus the fact that at 4:00 a.m. I was woken up by Ali chasing Spot out of the bedroom. I went to check on him and noticed that the food in the feeder, which was set to open at 3 a.m. was not touched, so I put Spot in front of it and he ate...what's wrong with that, you ask.....well......AFTER the dish was thoroughly cleaned by the King and in my sleep induced haze, I remembered it was DST and the time was actually 5 am...one hour before ambg time. So I decided to cheat a little and test a half hour later than usual. Soooo it all worked out in the end!!

To Laura: Yes! I remember the cupcake story about Qunicy the carb addicted kitty!! I actually thought about that last night and remembered that caper turned out well. I was hoping and praying that Spot would have the same outcome. I wonder if Spot and Quincy are communicating when we aren't around....

Well, it is btb for a few hours this morning. Have a wonderful Sunday, LL, and Spot will see everyone at the St. Patty's day Party today....hopefully with his green on!!

small snack given....looking good today...trying to get green....oh so close!!

All P's are in place this morning....Spot also spent some time outside, but after about 10 minutes, someone started using a jackhammer and Spot did not want to be outside with that noise...I'm actually a little surprised that his bg is this low since he does get stressed with those loud unusual noises (see Halloween 2009)

Well, going to Hooters and Mini golf with the Saturday group in a few minutes, so won't be able to visit any condos until later this evening. Have a great day!! Thoughts and prayers for those who are experiencing severe weather storms. Please be safe vines being sent to all Beans and kitties!!!

I had to chuckle at the chocolate cake debacle. While I'm sure you wanted to tear your hair out, it was so sweet that your house guest wanted to share his birthday with Spot. I guess the good news is that Spot brought his numbers down pretty quickly. Have a great time at the birthday party, location notwithstanding!

Hey now, now that's a number! What a great way to start the day, esp. after yesterday's baked goods. Go Spot, go!!!

Isn't it crazy how much your mood rises and falls with these numbers? ;-)

Deb - seriously though - as much as you may hate the idea, sometimes what's best is to stop the trial, give it a little more time and restart it again. I had to do that with Maui, when she got into dry food. And it was one week and we were back on trial again.

So, while the thought is painful (Maui went pretty long on trial 1 too), it may be best to help the pancreas truly heal and make it work properly again. After all, the goal is long term OTJ, and if a few more days of insulin will help that...then why not. I know, not what you want to hear, I didn't either. But if I tried pushing it, she may not be OTJ now....ya know.....just something to consider if necessary.

I wish I could eat some almost zero-impact chocolate cake like Spot! :lol:

Good. Let me know if he needs any more threats!

Tell him if he doesn't hurry up and get to the falls, Maui will only pay him half his wages and make him work double time! :-D
