Good Morning World! Welcome to our home!

AMPS - BIG UGLY number...443
Dakota's doing a lot better these last couple of months than he's done in a LONG time. We're seeing lots of blues and greens with a few ugly bounce numbers in there. That's what this morning's ugly number is...there's food in it so it's not truly as high a it looks but still in 300's. He dropped to 46 overnight, I evidently didn't catch it soon enough to feed it thus the bounce. I've discovered that if I catch it and feed him, he'll surf nicely. He doesn't wake up to eat altho' I leave food out for him...silly kitty. Hopefully he'll fall off it later today. He's out and about playing and bugging everyone much more often. His eye is sort of goopy but we'll likely fight that forever. We're already dosing flea meds but Doc can't have them because of his kidney problems. I use the smelly spray cinnamon stuff on him. It doesn't kill them but they jump elsewhere - all 'elsewhere' has flea meds so they'll be gone bye bye (I HOPE!)
Our 'M&M's' will arrive in this world this coming Wednesday morning via c-section!! WOOT WOOT! Twin grandbabies! Boy will be Mason, girl will be Madison. Their room is decorated in Mickey and Minnie Mouse - they have little mouse outfits to wear home. Tori has carried them full term, they're both good weights and sizes, the poor girl is HUGE HUGE. My mother made quilts for the babies - SO cute! She used pieces of material from clothing of their great-great grandmother, great grandmother, grandmother and aunt for Madison's, Mason's has material from gg-grandfather, great grandfather, grandfather and father. She made labels on the back tracing their heritage per the swatches. Here's clickable thumbnails of the quilts below.
All fuzzy feetz are doing well altho' we're fighting mange with one of the little droolers, Ginny. When I took her in for an allergy shot a couple of months ago, the previous animal in there had mange. Altho' they washed the table, thinking back, I don't remember the vet washing his hands so this is likely how this got here. Darla, her kennel mate, hasn't gotten it but I'm treating both of them anyway.
The crew rundown: Doc and Snow are watching squirrel TV on the cat tree, Bebo is being silly and running/jumping all over the house. Moo is sleeping on her radiator, Lily/Pepper/Stache are curled up sleeping again. Monkey is being mean this morning so is pacing in his crate hollering and throwing his bear around. SpikeKitty is on 'mole watch' in the front yard. Darla/Gin droolers are curled up together sleeping, Sassy/Sasha/Penny are laying around here in the living room watching Bebo...of course Penny is in Daddy's lap - her favorite place. NOW BeboKitty is climbing onto the keyboard - Bebo says: "t5r6rkley434".
Bug, Junior and John are curled up in their kennel next to the radiator, Chloe and Star are barking at the squirrels running across the roof, Blue is staring at them wishing they'd hush so he can sleep. I THINK that's all 20 of them.
I THINK our winter is about over - whew! My jonquils are blooming like crazy, my forsythia is opening their bright yellow buds. I thought I'd lost my 'Angel Gift' japonica but I found 5 little stalks coming out from the roots!! It's been rainy for the last 3 days, tired of dreary looking skies.
Dad is not doing well mentally - body is healthy but Alzheimers/Parkinson's mind is playing nasty tricks causing nasty cruel mouth. Mother has stopped going over every day because all he does is say mean things to her. They're working on his sedation meds again, hopefully they'll find the key again soon. Mother is doing much better about realizing this is his disease progression and he's not really meaning those things. She's pulling out of her depression and finally doing things SHE wants to do - that's a HUGE blessing!
WOW! Didn't mean to write a book but it's been a long time since I've had time to do a condo.
Thought and prayers for all needing them today - lots of ill kitties in 'extra sweet' land. Extra ones for Deborah's (Shasta) sister as they let Pixie go today.
HUGS to all that visit today!!! DANCE WITH US!!!!
