3/11 ....try Basaglar?

All's fine in the lagoon!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Deputy China is hard at work and improving her time for the 100 meter Cat Paddle!

She's driving me a little batty with her occasional trips on shore, but I really can't complain either.....especially considering the alternative!!

Still thinking about if I want to try the Basaglar.....I know how important it is for someone to do it....just not 100% sure I want it to be us!

Hope all your kitties are doing well and if you live on the East coast, you either got missed by the big storm or are comfy, cozy and warm at home....and don't have to go anywhere for a few days!!

Good Greens there China....

I have no opinion really....
seems it would be good to try on some new cat that needs help and isn't likely to get lantus. Maybe the folks to ask would be the ones on Vetsulin....

The way we're thinking is it would be better to use it on a "known entity".....a cat that we already have a track record on so we will know if it's a difference in the action of the Basaglar or what....If it's used on a newly diagnosed cat, is a wonky reading due to the difference in the way Basaglar works or just the cat?

Also, the people here are hesitant about giving advice of any kind on insulins they aren't used to....if this stuff is going to be showing up more often, we need to know how it works in comparison

Oh I don't know....this is a hard decision, that's for sure!!

I would be as torn about it as you. I'd probably lean a little towards "no", but maybe because right now it's hard for me to image messing with perfection!. Seems like it might be worth trying to cast a wider net if possible and maybe find someone who has no reservations if that's possible. I know how much you want to help and whatever you decide I personally will support you! :bighug:
