Posting from work....can't grab yesterday's link right now.....
Trix's "PS" numbers are continuing to improve...last night we had a 117 without me being home for a +9 snicky snack, and now this pretty 126 this morning. I don't know if that's the ABs themselves, or if it the ABs have been fixing whatever it is that has been going on with her for ages and now she's eating the snacks I leave out, or what. This morning, almost all the overnight fuds was eaten - and I had left out more than usual. Trixie, Frankie, and Zen are the only ones who would even consider eating that slop, and Zen spent most of the night in the bedroom with us. So, for the most part, it must have been eaten by either Frankie or Trixie or both.
I'm going to call vetty with an update today. We have 3 days left on her AB, and my gut is still telling me we should run it a bit longer, just to be sure. This is actually very unlike me....I do try to avoid things like ABs unless absolutely necessary. But I see what a HUGE difference they have made for her, and if this is a kidney infection that is not being detected through any other tests aside from her crazy kidney values and the fact that they came down a little bit after the first course of Zeniquin, I want to be sure we run the ABs as long as necessary. I know kidney infections require a long course of ABs. We'll see what vetty says. We both know any extra BW is out of the question, since chances are that will cause a setback.
I am still having a really, really, really hard time with the stupid gelcap. They are going down, but she is tense and hissy before I even start! Once again, she hissed at me before my first attempt this morning. As soon as it went down, I got a big hiss. And I now I have a big ole muscle knot in my shoulder/neck from the stress of these pilling events. She is FEISTY! And that is awesome - at the right times!! She is SO good at swallowing pills - I don't know why she's starting out tense from the get-go right now. I could see it if I have multiple failed attempts, but before I even start, she's tense. Ugh. It will pass....I hope.
Appy was wonderful off the charts ecstatic last night (she kept pushing Frankie out of her bowl!!), and has been going strong this morning. Feistiness has been covered here, and we had our morning snuggles and belly-roasting by the heating vent. Last night, I wanted to stay up all night just to watch her because she was feeling awesome and I loved seeing it...such a change from staying up all night to keep an eye on her when she wasn't feeling well!
Time to get myself moving for work....Sending extra prayers out for Deanna's Billie, and for Chris's China who is going for a dental today.
have a great day, L&LL!
