Good morning and Happy Sunday! The days will be getting longer now...I just love Daylight Savings Time. I made the effort for 4 days to inch the time back instead of doing it on two days at a half an hour a pop. Looks as if it doesn't even matter to Raja that it was gradual cause she ended up with a blue this morning anyway. She doesn't seem to care too much about aiming for the green. I think she could do it if she put her mind to it. It would be so easy for her....
oh well.
She has 4 Ps this morning which is a nice way to start the day, even if she is in a low blue. She was settling into one of her baskets when I came out with the syringes..... She looked at me and said "Well, you have missed the opportunity once again. I am already settling in for my morning nap and I have finished with the morning's schedule of things to do. I had my test and I ate and now I am nice and comfy here....ready to sleep. Sorry Mama...better luck next time!"
I picked her up out of the basket and brought her to the testing towel.
A deep sigh form the Raja.
Thinking back to all those years before dx....I didn't really know them too well at all. I am guilty of taking them for granted, cleaning the LB when necessary and putting down food an water for them. I never really knew them as I do nowadays. Keeping track of their BGs and bodily functions and being on such a strict schedule of testing, feeding and shooting has brought me to an understanding of them that has amazed me. It surpasses anything I have ever done in my life. Even having two infants, while being an intense strict schedule, lasted for only a few months until the babies got older and didn't need the hourly fussing over......it was still 24/7 but didn't seem as intense as this FD dance. It requires discipline and planning, but it turns out that they are disciplined too!
I am in awe of their acceptance of these daily procedures....and I respect them so much for going along with the program as they do...... Of course, there are people who would roll their eyes if they heard me say that I "respect" my two kitties...but who cares about them!!! I DO respect them and am in awe of things they do... Feeling a little reflective this morning I guess.....
Hope you all have a great Sunday! :YMHUG:
