Update on Myagi

Vet thinks he may have some heart disease that caused fluid to build up around his lungs, but the we're waiting to see a cardiologist tomorrow for more information.

They don't think the fluids that Heidi gave (or the other vet) would have caused it but the extra fluids would exacerbate the heart disease.

Myagi is spending the night in an oxygen cage to make it easier for him to breathe and they're going to remove some of the fluid for testing.

He was brought out to Heidi before she had to leave for the night and she said he still had some fight left in him!!

Tomorrow we'll see what the cardiologist has to say and go from there. Depending on that, he may need an ultrasound on top of the other testing.

Thank you everyone and @Chris & China . :bighug::bighug: I'll try to update more later after we talk to cardiologist. I'm so overwhelmed and scared and every time i open his thread and see all the out pouring of love and encouragement i burst into tears. So forgive me for not giving more or faster updates. Myagi and I love you all. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

1230am talk with doc: Myagi given sedation to keep him safe during various procedures. Were not able to get enough fluid for testing. Will try again today. IV antibiotics. His lungs are really bad - alveolar infultrate, which could be infection, heart or cancer, yet tbd. They didn't to do his insulin and really don't get it, but the doc understood once I spooked to him. Sorry.... try to give more details later. This is too hard.

Glad to hear he is hanging in there. If he has lung issues, maybe it is from too much dust? While he is out, you could vacuum the heck out of his room since he won't be there. I strangely feel a little cathartic whenever I finish cleaning some part of the house.

Thinking of you today Heidi. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Healing vines for Myagi. Neko was in oxygen for a couple days before she was ready to come out. Best place for him right now. I went in and did the test/shoot thing for Neko. Myagi is on such a tiny dose I'd not bother getting them to shoot. Heart distress raised her numbers, and they came down once she was in oxygen.

Lean on us for strength.
 
Update, I'm at ER waiting to be with my boy Myagi to help him cross the bridge. He is suffering unimaginably and prognosis is nil. Hugs to everyone

I am so deeply sorry that Myagi's time has come. You have been such an outstanding Mama to him, and now you are giving him the ultimate gift, albeit the one that costs you the most - his freedom. We all understand the pain you are feeling and wish we could take it away. Know that we are all here for you and we grieve with you and for you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Nooooo, Heidi, hold on to the last bit of hope, Dante went into the ER while in the middle of a cardiac failure and full-on pulmonary edema, his heart was 5x the normal size...and lungs completely full from the leakage from the heart - I've been there - don't give up until you have to! I am praying for the doctors to be able to guide Myagi, just hang in there! He is where he needs to be, so just hold on...
