Sir KT jumped off the cliff last night....{..walking away shaking head...} Handed me a 49 at pm+10.5 hollering for FOOD, Mama, FOOD! He sometimes snuffles around in the bowl pushing it down but not really eating much - NOT the case this morning. He cleaned up a whole can of FFeast Chopped Grill then half a can of FFeast Turkey/Gravy THEN a whole saucer of fresh boiled chicken! PIG! All that food is in that beautiful AMPS too! I shot a full 2u's last night but didn't really expect it to be THIS low. I backed off to a skinny 1.75 this morning but did shoot that 91. I have EVERYTHING crossed hoping he'll surf instead of bouncing again. His toenail looks good - discovered he's split TWO of them yesterday. He did this being a goof climbing on the piano, STANDING in my penny bowl trying to pull my horse halter off the wall. We're both saying "KT, down" quietly so we won't startle him into running while walking toward him. The bowl began slipping which DID startle him causing him to spin around and attempt to run catching his claws in the edge of the bowl. He ran one way, the HUGE BOWL of change goes flying across the living room scaring him even more. We've got pennies STILL showing up in strange places... That halter's been on that wall all 10 years of his life so don't know what the fascination suddenly was. My grandparents 'ran off' to get married on horseback - this halter as well as a stirrup were on the horse they 'ran away' on...they were married for 55 years when my grandfather crossed in 1977.
I'm becoming a bit concerned about Leo's breathing - he's coughing and 'huffing' terribly. I've started him on baytril a/b and prednisone (YUCK-steriod!) to try to help. When I finally got him to sit still yesterday so I could listen to his lungs, they sounded TERRIBLY congested. Called the vet - he said all THEY would do was exactly what I did so we'll see where it takes us. If it doesn't help, we'll make another trip to the vet's office. He is SO SO good but gets SO SO scared his little heart runs 900 mph making it almost impossible to truly hear his lungs.
BIG HUGS to all that visit today!!! DANCE WITH US!!!
