Woohoo, half way there! Wish I could get some green numbers in this here gum trial!

WCR: I heard the sound of running elephants a half hour before getting up...could have been Spot running from civvie Ali...she's been "in a mood" lately and has been picking on him...all he does is run away from her, lol. I noticed that Spot was drooling a lot as I was giving him his test...not sure if this was from anticipation of getting his treat or not, but other than that, he seems to be normal. Ate all his breffis and promptly proceeded to go to the door and announce that the King was ready to go out to his throne. However, it is way to early for that and mama bean is going btb, so the king will have to wait. He is now giving himself a nice bath.

Happy Caturday everyone!! Hope you all get to go btb, like me today!

Came down a little....close to green...so I'm not going to do to much worrying....I just don't like to see those blues above 105...I guess that's MY comfort zone, lol.

The King spent his btb'ing laying on his window seat, in front of the semi-opened window...although it is chilly and raining outside (mama bean has way to heavy of a comforter on the bed and needs to open the window to cool off the room, lol). He slept there until the phone rang just in time for his +4 test. He is now hanging out w/me on the chair. Such a lovable boy I have :-D

Congrats on GUM day 7!!! Paws crossed the Spotster sees some greens today....I'm betting he will! :-D

come on Spot, let's see some green so we don't have to worry about you anymore!

We're watching the trial, Deb, let's hope he can read this condo and bring this range down a little. If he can't, we can give him some help, but let's wait another day or two.

Oh, Spot...please come down...

I am sitting here with a heavy heart...he keeps going higher and higher...I can't help but think that we may have to abort the OTJ trial :sad: ....I'm trying to remain positive....we never thought we'd get to this point...if we have to abort, at least we had a few days where he didn't have to have insulin. Just may not be his time....may not ever be his time :YMSIGH: ....Doesn't matter...I love him anyway...and he surely don't care if he's OTJ or not...he's happy either way it seems cat_pet_icon

Oh no come down Spot we love to see you OTJ. Be positive Deb it WILL HAPPEN, looked at your chart and Spot has come a long way and it is spectacular. It could be the anxiety that he will not get all the attention.

By the way what dose GUM stand for

Ugh, I know exactly how you feel. Quincy's not having such a good day either. Like you, I am grateful we're at this point at all, and know maybe he'll get another chance if this doesn't work out. But I've gotten my hopes up too much...

I decided to do a +3 on my boy and he was oh so kind enough to give me a nice ALMOST SQUEAKING into green 100!! Elation Elation!!! I did a happy dance with him and gave him a very mini meal....btw, I think I'm going to try the every three hour meal plan and see if that works.

Now the UGH part....As some of you may know, I work with folks who are mentally challenged during the week, and in the evenings & weekends, I do respite w/ some of my folks (aka, my Saturday group). Well, one of my guys from the Saturday group wanted to come over to my house to spend the day and stay overnight...then tomorrow we will be going out w/the group to celebrate his birthday (we are going to Hooters and then going to play indoor mini golf...his birthday, his choice of outings, lol). Well, he's getting ready to go to bed, so I usually offer a bed time snack whenever I do overnight respites, so Adam wanted a piece of chocolate cake. I gave him a piece and then I went to the bathroom. I came out and there was Spot, sitting in front of Adam, licking his chops....found out that Adam gave him a piece of cake because, well........ your supposed to share your cake when it's your birthday! Now, how could I get upset with that????? He showed me how big of a piece he gave him and it wasn't that big, but gosh....just when I see green at the end of the tunnel....sigh...Are the Gods working against us???
Please, please, please...keep your fingers and toes and eyes, and legs and everything else crossed that whatever Spot enjoyed isn't enough to make him go sky high. Thanks ever so much!

how can you be mad about sharing cake? Now we'll find out what Spot's pancreas is made of, I guess. I hope it will be ok...

Wow, we sure have a lot in common this week! I don't know if you were following Quincy's trial earlier, but last Sunday he stole a cupcake off the kitchen counter and had eaten a big portion of it before I caught him. He spiked that night but worked it out of his system the next day. Hope you have the same experience! It's such a roller coaster, though, isn't it??!?!
