So far, Cleo is a flat, blue kitty today. 5 P's in place. She has spent the whole day so far, sunning/snoozing on the catio with the occasional snack break :lol:
For about the past week, when Cleo shakes her head, I hear a kind of clicking sound in her left ear. She is not scratching at it, and she is not shaking her head any extra. It is usually after a test that she gets a good rubbing, ear massage, and brushing. She loves all of these. After the ear massage she usually gives her head a shake. And I can sometimes hear the sound when I massage her ear. I made her an appt for the vet tomorrow, but the last two tests I didn't hear the clicking. Wondering if I should cancel and wait and see if it returns? Vet is very stressful and I hate to take her if not necessary. Anyone else ever hear that in their kitties ears? Her ears are dark inside (not pink) so it is hard to see if their is a lot of dirt or debris. She lets me wipe them with a warm cloth and nothing comes off.

Nice blues for Cleo today. I think I would err on the side of caution and take her to the vet. It could be the start of an ear infection and you don't want that to get too bad. Does her ear smell funny?

No, everything smells fine. Almost PM shot time. I will be able to see if it makes the sound. I wonder if it was wax that she was able to work out?? She is acting perfectly normal, no head shaking (unless I massage it), no scratching at it. I hope the sound is gone!!!

Flat blue kitty continues. Her ear still makes the clicking sound, so we will go to vet tomorrow. Our appt isn't till 4:30. I wish I could see down in there. I hope it is nothing big.

That is some very nice flatness today! Sending prayers and vines that the clicking isn't anything worrisome. Definitely a good idea to get it checked out, just in case. Have a great evening, Jane!

I hope the ear is nothing, and I'm sorry you have to go to the vetty :sad: . Sorry I've never noticed anything like that. Paws crossed on an easy trip/exam and nothing wrong! I hope your evening goes good, and scritches to Cleo

Wow that is odd about the ear. I've never heard of that. I hope you share with us what the vet says
