Crazy cat. We increased a drop to a fat 0.75u last night so he dives in to lagoon from the pink floor, then surfs green all night (I guess). I tried to give him a bit of cypro this morning for a little appetite encouragement but he wouldn't eat a treat at that point. He did eat enough, after a bit of chasing with the bowl and a good amount of fortiflora. He did have a short yard patrol and is now settled in for a nap. Night duty bean is definitely keeping her job. She's worth her weight in gold. :-D

Thinking of beans who are grieving the loss of their kitties, recently Judy (Jake), and Georgia and DH (Cleo). What lucky kitties to have such dedicated and caring beans. Have a great Tuesday, LL!

Re: 3/12 Zener AMPS 70

Oh wow, way to go Zener with surfing the greens last night and what a nice AMPS! I hope he keeps a nice safe suf today. It is amazing what just a fattened drop can do with their cycles. Sending appy vines and glad the Fortiflora and bowl chasing won! :-D The nighttime Bean sure is a keeper! Have a great day,
Thanks for checking in with Maggie Poo girl, Detective Poo! :-D

Uh, Z? Where'd you go? -- Tess

Isn't having a backup bean wonderful? I take my hat off to those who are doing it alone!

Yowza! Pokie break has been declared here. Zener is happily snoozing away. I agree, Ann! I don't know how single beans do it.

Hi Liz and Anne, What a great start for Z, but pfft at this bounce. Sending good appy vines and good luck with the dosecrease!

Way to keep 'em on their toes, Zener! ;-) Great mental image of chasing him around with the bowl. Been there - done that!

I'm with ya' on the hats off to the single beans dancing the dance! I've been singling it since Doug's surgery and I certainly see how this could wear you down.

I hope Zener has come down since you last post and that y'all have a peaceful night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

We sure like to see him in the blues and out of that stinky pinky. Night duty bean is now on duty, hoping we don't have a long drawn out PJ party, since the night duty bean has a meeting in the AM.

@Ann & Maggie - he did the rainbow climb today instead of the rainbow slide, but he may be on the rainbow slide tonight. Time will tell. Thanks for the kind words for the night duty bean. ;-)

@Ella & Rusty - Zener didn't stay lagoonmeister long this morning, who knows what tonight will bring. Appy much more happy tonight.

@Josie & Ripley - we never know what Zener has in store for the beans, he is the master of surprise.

@Ann & Tess - he's on his way back down tonight after the rainbow climb this morning. We are so grateful to have two beans sharing the care! :-D

@Melanie & Racci - ah, the secret two hours of sleep cycle. I do that on night duty, nap on the floor on a pad (sometimes with Zener) and that usually wakes me up when I turn. If drama, then I nap there another two hours. If no drama, I try to get in bed by midnight and four out of five days, I usually can sleep until 8 am, so that's not bad.

@Courtney & Kismet - thanks for the happy appy and dosecrease vines! Pffffttt on the bounce!

@carla - Zener is reading his condo again and following your most excellent instructions!

@Libby & Hershey too - Zener does love to keep his beans on their paddy paws! Bravo to you on handling the duties while Doug is recovering. Liz will be out of town next week for 3 darks, so I'll be the single BIC for a few days. There is nothing like being single BIC to really appreciate your partner bean! I travel lots more than Liz and she has to do all Zener's care when I am away, so it's only fair she gets a little break!

@Amy & TrixieCat - boy howdy, we are tickled to see blues already!

@Michelle & Mannie - ah heck, you're not late! Since daylight savings time started Sunday, we are now on the same time as you. We stay MST all year, which is now the same as PDT. I did not get to sleep in this morning, but had a lovely nap this afternoon during my acupuncture treatment! I-)
Hey Manster my Man, I's blue too, so we match! - Zener

@Marje - Zener is following your instructions to turn around! Woo hoo to blue!

I picked up the clindamycin injections at the vet today and we start those on Thursday. We take him in for his dental early Friday morning. They will do his bloodwork and get his IV and fluids started and then start the dental later on. Our vet wants to make sure he is well hydrated because of his early stage of kidney disease. She also instructed us to give 1/2 his usual insulin and feed him since it would be later in the day for the procedure. If his numbers are too low though, we probably won't shoot. They will monitor his BG during the day. We feel so much better prepared and more confident in how our vet will handle this dental than the one he had in Dec 2011 at another clinic, but we are still pretty darn nervous. nailbite_smile

I'm having a dental the same day, but from the human dentist. ;-) I wish they would knock me out too.
