3/12 Trouble Update- Still OTJ

Hi everyone-
It's been a few months since I have posted :oops:
Life has been so full and busy, so with my down time I have just taken a break from the internet:) I do think of you all though.

Trouble overall has been great since his 2nd remission in January- He is happy, full of energy, and eating well. He also spends an inordinate time in front of the fire being lazy.. and its been a cold, snowy winter here in BC. I haven't been updating his spreadsheet- and have over the past few weeks been testing about once a week..

His numbers for the most part are great. 80's-100.. And then 3 days ago.. he threw me a 216:arghh::arghh::arghh::banghead::banghead::banghead::arghh::arghh::arghh: I didn't panic as we have been testing regularly enough.. and he seemed fine.. that evening he was 167. The next morning he was 131, and by the evening he was 102.. Soo.. he must have had some contraband.. where? Who Knows! Needless to say will keep an eye on him.. and try to test more regularlly.

Chela is good- need to get him in for his 4 month Kidney BW, but feeding him low phosphorus foods, and he's eating them.. He's very ready for winter to end too!

I hope you are all well- I saw the news about Doodles on facebook and did send a PM to Karen- so so so sad.

I do think of you all often- and when things slow down will try to check in more regularly!

Now why am I not surprise to hear that Trouble got into mischief and gave you a BG scare? Naughty boy! Same as always! :)

Glad to hear things are otherwise going well. Try not to be such a stranger, Asrael.
 
Hi Asrael :bighug::bighug::bighug:. Scritches to Trouble and Chela. Be good Trouble, no more contrband cause we don't want you to be extra sweet again.

Ugh on this winter - so ready for it to be over. But I did see some blossoms on trees today. :cool:
 
Yes- it's been a horrible winter here on Vancouver Island- Just so so so cold. Plants are 3-4 weeks behind!!

So ready for spring!

Thanks everyone so much for your support numbers today- are not so happy - 131 3 hours after food- going to keep a good eye on him.. and if they don't seem to level out in the next few days. ?!?!?

We are away most of the month of April.. and really don't want to have him to be back on insulin.. TROUBLE!!
 
It's nice to see you Asrael :bighug:. Thanks for the update and I'm glad Trouble is doing okay and full of energy, and Chela is good.
I would try to update his spreadsheet when you have some time.
Maybe an insulin threat would work...like let him see you take the insulin out of the frig and put it back in and show him the syringes. Just a thought. Be good Trouble:cool:!
 
Hi Asrael! Great to hear from you. I hope Trouble is just jerking your chain with the numbers. Is it possible he is constipated? Bubba hikes up when he is. Keeping fingers and paws crossed for you.

Nice to see a Trouble condo and get an update on his remission holding strong.

Not so pleased to see that he's been hunting out the contraband, naughty kitty. I'm glad he's recovered from the shenanigans and BG's back to normal.

Thanks everyone- Yes- somewhat normal BG.. see what tonight is.. He's fine, not overdrinking, or overpeeing..

But that blue today.. not nice- and not sure where he gets in the contraband.. its hard because Chela's food is so different from his- we are very careful.. but he does lick the floor around where Chela's plate was sometime (its a clean floor though)....

Will try to update the spreadsheet today or tomorrow1
