Another decent AMPS for KT instead of a stOOpid low - don't know if he ate or not, couldn't tell but he was HUNGRY - finished off his whole can of RC Recovery already! He even ate a few bites of Doc's FFeast chicken pate afterwards! EAT PooKitty EAT! Let's get some weight on those skinny bones! He had AWFUL runny, stinky poo last night but I gave him probiotic and digestive enzymes with his last meal, his poo this morning was perfect! His body is recovering much quicker each time OR I'm keeping a better eye out and giving meds quicker...not sure which but whatever it is, it's working!!! WOOT WOOT!!! I'm so thankful someone pointed me to EPI information otherwise I'd never have learned about the digestive enzyme and pancreas connection. It makes perfect sense - if the pancreas isn't working correctly and sucreting insulin, it's also likely not working correctly with the digestive enzymes either. I truly believe that adding them to KT's food is what pulled him out of this last 'whatever' nasty bout of not eating and liquidy poo. This is a blurb from the petmed website explaining 'EPI' cause:

Another BOOTIFUL yellow number for my sweet rock this morning! He DID dump a '300' on me yesterday but I figured out afterwards that he'd just eaten the last few bites of the food on their island - caught a food spike! 2 hours later it was gone, he was back in his 200's. Hopefully having a dental done will help drop these numbers a bit more. I need to call and schedule it now.
Excitement early this morning in the neighborhood - we wake up to the house across the street billowing smoke out the windows! We run over, find neighbor just dousing his couch he'd set on fire last night, drunk, while stirring the fireplace. It evidently smoldered all night and finally burst into flames this morning. He has two fairly serious burns as he tried to use his hands first....got pants too close to it, THEY caught on fire too. So far we can't convince him to go to doctor but they're nasty serious. His wife is out of town but coming in later today - oh I don't want to be anywhere NEAR her when she finds out. She special ordered that couch a couple of years ago and waited weeks for it to be delivered. It's going to be a NASTY scene, going to get awfully loud, they don't argue inside....

All else is well in Squeaky's Furever Home - well, sort of...Snow has a URI again but we started ab's yesterday.
