3/11 Recap - Started with what I thought was a new pen, but it was the pen I opened in 10/13; it was less than half full.

Cleo has 4 P's in place today. Good appy & LB prezzies. I opened a real new pen today - not sure if her :mrgreen: is from that or not.
I purchased the pen that is half full in 6/13, opened it in 10/13, and the expiration is 12/15. I don't know how I started using a new one with this old one still half full ohmygod_smile , but I did. The old pen is still clear with no floaties. Has been in quiet part of fridge the whole time. Should I just chuck it? Is it possible it still is good after all this time?

Nice numbers this morning! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: If you suddenly started seeing good numbers after starting a new pen the old one was probably toast. There isn't necessarily any visual sign that the effectiveness has weakened. I've had pens that had obviously lost their effectiveness that showed no sign of floaties or cloudiness. Remember, the expiration starts after the seal is first broken on the pen, it is at least 9 months that you have had it and who knows how long it was opened before that.

I am going to toss it - not worth the worry/wonder! I ordered a refill from Target, so I will still have a back up :-D

Yay on the greenie today and the new pen! :mrgreen: Go Cleo!. Paws crossed for a similar cycle tonight :-D . Happy Hump Day to you too!

Yep, I'd hazard a guess that the opened old pen was probably toast, too...or at the very least, not worth finding out the hard way.
