Ahhh what a difference fresh insulin makes. Although I was leery until I saw their numbers because I realised last night when I was putting their pen away that the exp. date on the pen was 1/14. Glad its still effective because that gives me 3 full pens before I need to restock. Maybe by then our bi-polar weather will have settled down enough to safely ship it from Canada. I refuse to pay the stupid prices here in the US.

Now if I don't kill my neighbors for letting their unfixed male cats run loose it will be a good month. One of the side effects of stopping smoking is my sense of smell is intensified so I noticed yesterday the smell of cat pee by our front door, thinking maybe someone missed the litter box in the foyer I get on my hands and knees, scrub the floor, strip and rewax the tile only to still smell it just as strong as before so get out the black light...nope nothing. Go outside..black light the front porch...d@mn cats have sprayed my wicker chairs and front door!!!

I have one of the strays(male) I am feeding spraying my front door too. It makes my cat Sam aggressive. I saw it yesterday and sprayed it with Natures Miracle. But I am sure he will do it again.
Might try trapping once the weather gets better. 60 yesterday, today snowstorm and wind warning.
I have not smoked but I am still fighting lighting up that one. Glad you are doing well with your not smoking.

Ya its driving my males nuts. I've had more fights since they've moved in last year than I've ever had in the 7 years we've lived here. They started out with 5 but we've already trapped and rehomed 3 because they were malnourished and sick. I still owe my vet $150.00 from having their female hospitalized with pneumonia.

They have no business with cats. They're are the kinda people that get a kitten because their kids want one then when it becomes a cat throw it outside. :evil:

The tricky part with making them just disappear is their parents live directly behind us. Their two sets of siblings on either side of the parents then they're right next door. So we're surrounded by their family. Only upside is the guys are all pipe liners so eventually they should all move on. And when they do the neighborhood will throw a party. They've pissed off everyone. Between their animals running amok and the father making passes at every female under 80 on the block (and he's married) they are highly unwelcome here.

Even the half naked chick that fell of our other neighbour's roof after trashing their custom made skylight while high on meth is part of their tribe. Pure Trash which suxs because if not for them this is a great little neighborhood. Most of us are older and own our homes which we work hard on keeping up our yards and houses so its a really pretty little place. They don't mow, let their trash blow into everyone's yards etc. Last year the post office even stopped their mail delivery because they wouldn't clear their sidewalk of ice and snow.

Well looky there at Autumn rolling in the grass. Looks like Alska will be enjoying Cassanova's company today. A will be pumping C for info on precious Autumn.

Lol he won't get much as Autumn doesn't fall for Cassanova's charms. He's far too young and forward for her tastes. She likes a more cultured gentleman like Maxwell.

Oh yeah... Alska's cranky, street-wiseness could never compare to the charms of Maxwell... unless Autumn likes the bad boys :lol:

Well she is the only one that likes Myrrdin the Sh*tten. Lol And she is an old streetwise lady herself so who knows. Jon keeps threatening to buy her a leather motorcycle jacket. ohmygod_smile

Mel,

We got a couple bunches like that around here too. One down the street got a cat put it outside in the cold but kept her 3 pitbulls in the house, I took it from her, asked her first, gave it to the rescue, damn if she did not get another one and threw it outside too.(unneutered).
Her place looks like a trash dump and the city does nothing about it.
Its funny because everyone around here hates cats, but there sure is an awful lot of them roaming around. I did a bunch of TNR last Summer but it did not good whatsoever.

Those sound like the worst neighbors ever!!! Glad you know that they won't be permanent. We had neighbors once with teenage boys that shot more than one window out with a BB gun. We cheered when they finally moved.

the stories of the neighbors make me feel like my crappy neighborhood isn't so bad, just annoying...
 
Holy .cr@p I've had 6 puking cats today!! Cassanova puked 4 times alone the last time pure water. I'm so sick of cleaning up cat vomit now most are off their food. At least Autumn and Cassanova ate tonight and so far Autumn hasn't heaved. I'm suspecting a bad batch of food. Because no one was sick until after breakfast and all 6 that are sick tonight ate from the same flavor of 9-lives while the ones that aren't sick had their normal Friskies.

Nope part of their normal rotation, never had a problem before with them eating it until today. But half a dozen definitely don't feel good and what they are puking is food. So suspecting a bad batch of food. It was out of a multipack and they ate the other cans fine. But the rest turned up their noses at the rest of the 9-lives tonight but ate the Friskies like they were starving.
