Simon is doing pretty well this morning. He has been more subdued due to the loss of his little sister, Cleo and realizing he is the only cat now in the household. Thank goodness for visits from his girlfriend Rosie, the neighbor's cat. Simon has not been sitting in his heated cat bed since Cleo crossed. They always sat in it together, all warm and snuggly. I don't know if cats can experience heartache, but if so, I think it is too painful for him to sit in the bed, remembering Cleo always beside him.

I am very sad but it is off to work today, despite my lovely cold. I am off tomorrow to take my mom to the oncologist. We will find out then if her breast cancer has spread. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I have been thinking about you too this morning, and hoping things are going OK. I will continue to keeo you all in my thoughts.

I am sure cats experience loss just as we humans do. I've been through many similar situations, like Simon is now, where they do mourn, and avoid places that they once shared. It is hard from them too. Lots of pets and scritches for Simon.

A very nice start for Simon today. Surf well little one.

Best of thoughts for your mom too.

Big hugs to you, Johnny and Simon. It's so hard to lose them. I hope your cold is a short one. We ran a vaporizer when we had colds a couple of weeks ago and that helped us sleep at night. Sending healing energy to your DM.

I was so saddened to hear about your sweet girl, Cleo. I'm sure Simon is missing his little sister. He's very fortunate to you have you and Johnny to lean on, and vice versa.

I came home for lunch and Simon is a pretty green. On top of everything, our septic tank overflowed. My DM is coming to sit at our home this afternoon to wait for the plumber. Simon will enjoy the visit from his grandma.

(((Georgia))) keeping your Mom in positive thoughts and prayer and hoping the cancer has not spread. What a nice cycle for Simon. Sorry about your septic tank, what a thing to happen at this time. Great Grandma can be there with Simon. I feel for Simon missing his sister and feel for you and DH. Sending lots of healing vines and prayers for you and DH.

It is always a hard adjustment for our furkids when they lose their siblings or their pals. They grieve, and eventually they live it into themselves, just as we do. You and Johnny, Simon, and your DM are in our thoughts tonight.

Thanks for the sweet PM, I am so sorry for your loss, and Simon's...
Moonie was sad for about a week Or Two after her bro Copper passed, but then she decided to Take Over the household!! And that she did..
Hope Simon adjusts and feels better..
Just know I am watching from the sidelines...Hugs & Love from me!
 
Georgia, keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Prayers for your mother and a "good" report of NO spreading. Hoping that Simon settles into his new life as a single child...but I'm sure he is missing his snuggle buddy. ((hugs)) to you.
 
Maybe you could move Simon's bed to a new spot? I hope the septic tank is all better. Thinking of you for tomorrow's appt for your DM.
