PM +6 62

WCR: is getting rather fussy about us testing her ears. Im sure they are sore at this point. We put neo on them after her pm +6 last night.

Im not real surprised by this pink number. Heck, mocha can be sitting this high without even hitting green. So for as much HC and MC she ate last night and as low as she went, this isn't bad.

Re: 3/11 mocha amps 385 +4 261

mocha doesn't seem all that interested in her food today. She ate her breffus, but at lunch time I had to coax her to eat. That is unlike her. I wonder if it's just all the HC she got to eat yesterday or if has something to do with the new FF labeled cans.

at least we are seeing blue today! Maybe she will even go lower. That seems to be the trend as of lately. Mocha also has her dental appt scheduled. Next friday, 9 a.m. Momma bean is beyond nervous.

Re: 3/11 mocha pmps 125 +2 116, not interested in eating

mocha has definitely lost her interest in the FF turkey and giblets. She nibbled a bit at dinner, and a bit through the day, but nothing like she used to eat. Im starting to think it's got something to do with that new label.

Does anyone have any suggestions to something similar to the FF turkey and giblets classic? Mocha seems to have a real hard time eating anything chunky, she likes the patte style more.

Re: 3/11 mocha pmps 125 +2 116, not interested in eating

That was a short bounce, nice job Mocha.

The food thing...as you said, it could be she's holding out for more of the good stuff she remembers from yesterday. When I switched to all LC Fancy Feast for both my kitties, the civvie had a little trouble adjusting; she missed her juicy gravy HC stuff. She'd look at me with the "what's this junk?" expression on her face.

I hope that is all it is for Mocha and that she will get her appetite back. Good luck!

Tender liver and chicken feast? Seamus got sick of the turkey too but loved his liver (shudder)

(((Mocha))) I don't know about you.. but I kind of made the decision to not test Baby sooo much when she is running 200+ (saving the pokes for lower #s) but I know Mocha can move like lightening speed on ya  Baby has not been real interested in eating the past few days.. but today she is eating A LOT -- maybe they are like us & get loss of appetite somedays ;-)

Re: 3/11 mocha pmps 125 +2 116, not interested in eating

Does she have any other symptoms other than not eating? Grumpy.....spending more time in 'meat loaf' position? When was the last time she was at the vet? Could be that she needs to have her teeth looked at.....or, if she has other symptoms, could be a p~itis flare. We just experienced this with Morris. I hadn't paid too much attention to his grumpiness until a few days later when he stopped eating!

Re: 3/11 mocha pmps 125 +2 116, not interested in eating

I use the FF poultry flavors too and I haven't had a problem with either the chicken or turkey. Have you tried all of the usual ways of getting Mocha interested in food? It may also be that the lower numbers are causing Mocha to have less of an appetite.

ok, we sorted through the cans, we had about three open cans in the fridge, from me trying to get her to eat today. All FF, all T&G. But they also all ended in numbers -----4 something, 44, 45, 46.

We pulled out the other cans that all ended in -----3 something, 34, 35, 36. She ate what peter put down for her with no problem. I put into her auto feeder tonight the food from the cans ending in 3 something. I will see how she does overnight.

Last time mocha was at the vet was quite awhile ago. In fact, it was for her not eating so much, but at the time, her numbers were also much lower then they had been, just like lately. She has a dental appointment next friday for a cleaning. She is not meatloafing, and she isn't any grumpier then usual.

If that food is left in her feeder through the night, we will have to change things up around here.

Devon -- After reading the thread about Fancy Feast in the community, I am feeling that the brand has changed. Kitty had definitely lost interest in it. I have to sprinkle chicken dust on it, unless he's really hungry.

I do try to keep it fresh, and I also heat it up in the microwave for about eight seconds. Smells better to him, I guess.

I see that you scheduled your dental! He will be fine, but I will be here to cheer you on. My conclusion, after Kitty's dental, is that it's important to find out sooner than later anything that is going on. And within a few days, they get back to routine.

Remind me in the days ahead -- is this routine dental?

Don't worry.
