Max was meowing early today and hopefully that means a better appetite. I decided to give him ondansetron this morning just in case as he started green and I want him to eat well today. Gerbers with amps.

Vines and prayers to all kitties and beans with extra for Skooter, Billie, Skinky, Tricia's four, Amy's DF with gelcap vines for Trixie, and all others that could use them.

Nice green start...appy vines for him, too! Thanks for the gelcap vines for Trix....so far, so good with the last two :)! (And always, thanks for the vines for my Dad, too!!) Have a great day, Elise!

Just a little dribble here, not a full blown bounce, right Max? And eat our fuds! I hope the Ond helps, it has been great for Tess!

It worked. I've been using it for over 5 years for him. If I catch it early I can sometimes prevent a full blown pancreatitis attack. I'm not sure if that was the issue or his body was just adjusting to the time change et. al.

Thanks for the visits Ann, Tina, and Amy.

Took two readings to be sure and because there was a big drop of blood and I almost thought I would get an error message. So double checked with the arkray. Either way I think he is still working with the depot.

What a bizarre cycle Max!! Trying to confuse your mamabean??

Before all this crazy tooth stuff, China seemed to be starting a new crazy pattern too...instead of being about the same or lower at +2, she was starting to run higher...but then she'd come down fast

She'd been a pretty good example of the "+2 rule" for a very long time...then she decided to go off in another direction....LOL

Gotta love our kitties! They keep us on our toes!

Not bizarre for Mr. Unpredictable. Actually he often gets a big food spike. This time I thought he might be bouncing from the 41 but that might happen tonight. I often don't get a +2 for that reason and get a +2.5 or even +3 unless I want to leave for a spin class and need to know if I can.

You know, Max, if you like the title "Mr. Unpredictable" so much, we promise to still use it. Even if you become predictable...we'd like that predictability. How 'bout it?

I know most cats aren't predictable but my guy carries it to the extreme don't ya think? I mean would anyone have expected him to drop under 60 today? I realize he is safe but I wonder about some of the days and nights I stopped testing there.

This scares me too. How can one deal with unpredictable numbers?

What I try to do whenever possible is test until he is either on the rise or surfing without food but that is not always possible and I am more flexible time wise than most. Many cats will eat if food is left out and they drop. Max won't a lot of the time. In fact he generally doesn't want to eat between +8-+11.75. That makes it more challenging. I bought a auto feeder but haven't even taken it out of the box because of this.

I think if Max was going really low and you weren't catching it that someone here would have suggested that maybe one day when he bounced, you might have missed a low on the previous cycle.

You do a great job of keeping Max safe....He's just being difficult (A.K.A.---a cat!)

I think on 3/4 he might have gone under 50. I think his nadirs are getting a little too low and he might need less juice.
