Good morning everyone!
I'm so sorry it's been so long since the last update. I had fully planned on getting caught up this weekend, but of course fate had other plans. We've had a leaking ceiling fan again (thought that was fixed 2 weeks ago) on the same day we got 9 inches of wet snow. Thankfully it stopped on its own since the roofing guy point blank told me there was nothing he could do that day because of the snow. Yesterday we had our first power outage at the house, and all I could think about was the insulin! I took today off to help me acclimate to the time change (such a stupid idea), so hopefully I'll finally get caught up with what everyone has been doing!

Lou had a great cycle on the 9th, and I responded with another furshot. :banghead: He's still coming back from that and a likely bounce at this point. I don't know what my problem is! I had been doing so good, but to have 2 furshots so close together is just extra annoying. Despite the high AMPS, I'm hoping he'll come back down today. He was grazing his breakfast, so that's promising.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am SO over winter. We had 9+ inches of snow on Saturday night, and now we're supposed to be getting another winter storm/blizzard (they "don't know" yet) and heavy precipitation (rain? snow? both?) on Wednesday into Thursday. Ugh.

I hope you all have a wonderful day and your kitties surf safely! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

That picture is perfect!

I'm sorry you are having furshots when Lou is responding well. :(

We had maybe 5 inches of snow at my house. It was supposed to hit at 3 PM and it didn't come until 11 PM. Imagine my surprise when I woke up and saw how much we actually got for it being "late." It ended when they said it would end. I hope you can get that leak fixed for good!

Sorry about the fur shots, but Lou will get back on track. I once did three in a row. I hope you can get the leak fixed soon. Enjoy your day off.

Sometimes all the "other stuff" life throws at us just happens all at once. Nothing we can do. Lou will get back on track.

In our previous house after the bathroom was remodeled. Our kitchen ceiling fan started leaking. Turns out plumber pulled the pipes to shower to tight against the studs and it vibrated a leak which ran down the ceiling fan. In this house the previous owner didn't vent the exhaust fan to the outside, the duct for the exhaust was just sitting in the insulation which eventually soaked through the ceiling. Just last month the snows knocked the vent stack for bathroom out of place which caused snow and rain to go into vent which was then leaning on attic floor causing bathroom ceiling to get wet and stained. We have a new metal roof so we knew it wasn't the problem. But never thought of these other weird possibilities. So maybe it's something weird roofer wouldn't know to look for.

Gosh Jamie, I'd LOVE to switch with you! While our temps have been increasing, we're still only barely touching the 30s. Tomorrow is supposed to be the first time we'll be above freezing since January. The longest streak since the 70s or something. I think at the rate our temps are slowly increasing, it will probably be the end of April til the snow finally goes away! I just want to wear my flip flops! :p

I'm really wondering if you're on to something. Our upstairs bathroom exhaust fan doesn't vent to the outside either, which seems like an incredibly stupid design flaw. The insulation in the crawlspace was nice and dry, which is reassuring, but we know we're going to have to fix that. So I'm not sure if the leaking was still from the hole in the roof we patched 2 weeks ago, or perhaps was there still snow in the hole that decided to melt? We'll have to see. I'm just thankful the drip was barely there (compared to the initial dripping) and stopped for now. Hopefully we'll have time to get through this next storm system and see what the roofer has to say when things dry out. When it rains, it pours sometimes. Gotta love being a homeowner  (Sometimes not so much :p).

After having spent 40+ years in Michigan with the endless grey skies, cold and that dreary wet frozen stuff falling from the skies for months on end...I feel your pain. Sending you buckets of sunshine and warm humid air...I hope it gets there soon...the sun is definitely moving north...I can see it every day swinging that way...so hang in there...It's been absolutely gorgeous here in SW Florida - I love and appreciate every minute of this beautiful weather...and those swaying palm trees...it's heavenly! So sorry about the fur shots...hang in there...and you're doing great by Lou...I'm sure he appreciates and loves his beans :) Sending hugs and sunshine your way Amanda :) :bighug::bighug:

Oh no! Sorry your leak had reappeared! We don’t have anywhere near the winter you have and I’m still very over it! Come on Lou get back to business! I think everyone on here has given a fur shot a time or two. I even completely forgot to give the shot one morning and didn’t realize it until I saw the full syringe when I was going to give him his PM shot. :banghead:
