3/11 DC AMPS=230 +3=193 +9=207 PMPS=302 4.5=235

[Noreen&DC&Frisky]

DC isn't having a good morning.
He hasn't eaten much and he's acting different.
He looks a little shaky, but he walks normal.
When I pet him on his right side he tremors a bit and then scratches his head also when I touch him.
I tried to phone the vet, but they are closed.
I can't find any vet that is open today around here. I've even phoned ones an hour away.
I'm not sure what I should do. It's been going on for a couple hours now.

DC still wouldn't eat anything, so I tried giving him his favorite.
It's the Friskies Turkey & Cheese. The carbs are 12 but I'd rather he eat something.
He ate just under a 1/4 can of that, so at least he's got some food in him.
Now he's cleaning himself, but he's still shaky.
It's kind of like vibrating, almost like when they're cold.
But if you touch his right side or his ear on the side, his back leg starts scratching like crazy.
He's using the litter box and walking fine.

I'm glad he's eating Noreen.

I would watch him.....do you have an ER you can go to if he starts to get worse? I'd also probably try to get him into the vet tomorrow if he hasn't improved by alot.

I just got back from the vet.
I phoned my vet and left a message on the machine.
One of the other vets that works there called me and told me to bring DC in and he would meet me there.
I thought that was very nice considering they aren't open on Sundays.
DC has a fever and his white blood cells are still elevated.
He thinks the infection didn't totally clear by the time the other vet stopped the antibiotics.
He gave me antibiotics and told me the shaking is normal with the fever.
He also said to make sure he eats, even if it means giving him food with gravy.
The shaking has subsided a bit since the antibiotic was given an hour ago.
Now he's sleeping.

The numbers aren't too high, considering DC's only been eating MC today.
I'm hoping he'll start feeling better tomorrow.
The shaking is almost totally gone now.
He's been nibbling on the MC. A few bites every 15 min or so.
He's eaten just over 1/2 of a 5.5oz can so far.
