I didn't post yesterday 'cus I knew I was taking a risk and was too scared of opinions, heh.
Buzzy's AMPS yesterday was 91, and I couldn't be home to test, but I still only left him with LC food.
I did the same today.

Our ear saga continues: they do seem to be bothering him less -- but I can't know if it's the food change, the fact that I'm avoiding testing as much as possible (which is a tough balancing act), or the chlorhexadine I'm now using.

I'm actually hoping to change his food again as I finally found something I can afford that does not contain chicken (only turkey, which, yes, he's been exposed to in the past, but I know is less commonly an allergen) -- I'm having a minor panic attack bc I just ordered $50 of American Journey turkey pate food from Chewy & I have no idea if he'll even eat it -- I keep telling myself "it's ok - if he doesn't eat it, we'll keep him on the whole earth farms & Luna can eat the American Journey"

Also, of course, American Journey isn't on the spreadsheet...but while it does contain some fruit, it looks like it's supposed to be OK. In the Q&A it says "This formula has a carbohydrate content of 2.27% on a dry matter basis." & I see people posting on the FB group about using it -- I'm not sure of phosphorus though.

And Chewy does returns, right?...are returns free? But...like I said...chances are Luna will at least eat it, and so I could always keep her on this (less expensive) even if I have to keep Buzzy on the more expensive whole earth farms.

ANXIETY!!!

(Plus I just dropped $80-some at Target on staples, including 3 tubs of litter, because coronavirus threat)

ugh ok I found the phosphorus:
between 300-450 mg/100kcal

Should I cancel? That's higher than whole earth farms... :(
But lower than fancy feast...

neither of my cats have CKD, but I still worry over them.
Barf.

Should I be worried about "natural flavor" on the label?!....

I am literally driving myself insane.

Shooting 91 is a perfectly good number to shoot when you have data on how your cat does. Buzzy is looking good. I hope he likes the new food. I hope his ears clear up soon.

Thanks :) it was more that I couldn't be there to test. I feel better today, but I definitely entered my house yesterday afternoon and immediately was like "BUZZY! You're alive!!" >.> ha

I've had days like that with Furball too. What I meant was you know Buzzy should surf safely while you're out if you shoot a 91 and have to leave.

Second time shooting a PM 88 only this time I'm not giving a mix of MC/LC and just doing LC. Will test more tonight.
Edit: oooo also my first dual-green-shoot day!
