~O) ~O) ~O) ...Still recovering from the time change along with all of last week's stress...I iz one tired bean ~O) ~O) ~O) !

Not a bad start to the day....I am pleased there is no fuds spike. With all the changes going on, we have go grab the little victories.

We seem to have fluids down very well...she's such a good little helper. In the last week, we only had the one iffy session. We haven't tried doing them by ourselves yet, but I feel pretty confident that we'd each be fine at this point.

I was thrilled again that we did not have a huge drop last night! We did her fluids at +4 again; at that point, she was at 290. When DH tested her at +7/fluids +3 she was at 300. Granted I wasn't thrilled with the pink itself, but as far as ironing out what was causing the drops, it appears we've got. Phew. We would not have been able to maintain last week's pace for much longer.

My trigger finger did get a little itchy this morning and I raised her back up to 2.25U. Technically, when I reduced her the other day, she didn't really earn it anyway - I did it as a safety precaution until we figured out the fluids situation. I don't want her to get used to these icky numbers. Hopefully it won't take TOO much extra juice to compensate for the Paw Lickin' Chicken. She is one happy, radiant, gold-card carrying CPC member with her Paw Lickin'/BFF combo meals. I wish it was kinder to her BGs, but we'll get there....we'll figure it out...or we'll get used to the thought that the rules have changed for us and she won't have the perfect blue/green chart that she used to.

When I got up to test at +2.5, Noah was hungry. I dropped his kibble bowl as I walked out of the laundry room. The bowl didn't break, but as you can imagine, kibbles sprayed everywhere. Fortunately, Trix was upstairs...it would have been the kibble race of a lifetime for her, and given how tired I am, I am sure she would have beat me paws down :lol: . Not a great start to the day....

Come on down Trixie. Work that extra juice. ~O) ~O) ~O) You have had your hands full. That kibble raid would have been a fight I'm sure. Yay for small victories right now. Hang in there. ((((Amy))))

YAY! Looks like things are coming together for Trixie. That is great! It is nice to read that the fluids is going well, that she loves her food. Awesome on that. I have no doubt that the dose thing will fall into line too.

oh no on the kibble! I can so see the scene. Good thing Trixie was elsewhere. ;-)

Hi guys .. I'm glad that you guys are getting the hang of fluids and won't be having any issues doing them yourselves .. I am sure you'll eventually get everything all balanced out again .. Ugh, I've dropped twix's kibble before as well .. It's almost like it happens in slow motion, yet, you're not fast enough to do anything about it! Have a great day guys!

Looking good, Trix! Your beans are awesome! I'm glad the fluids are going well. It's hard when you have to add something to the regimen so it's nice when it goes smoothly :-D :-D I had to laugh at the kibble going everywhere... :roll: :lol: I'm glad Trix wasn't around. Have a great day, Amy!

What a beautiful blue Trixie!! It looks marvelous on you!

LOL on the kibble...I can just picture the bowl flying, the kibble scattering and everyone diving for it to try to catch it before it hits the ground :lol:

Good to hear the fluids are getting better. It's amazing what our furkids will put up with from us sometimes!

Yay on the nice blue and paws crossed for a nice easy slide down. Neat on the routine and watching Trixie closely with the fluids and her cycle. That is great she is a CPC member and likes the Paw Lickins BFF line. I am sure you can both do it alone with the fluids, as Trixie is such a good girl.

OMG, Amy, that image of the bowl of kibble flying and going everywhere and your sleepy self trying to get it before Trixie showed up had me laughing (sorry!). :lol: :lol: Maybe because it's happened to me more than once. Fortunately, Cinco's hearing is not as acute as my other kitties', and even if I missed a piece, his blindness would prevent his finding it (his sense of smell isn't great, either - we have to put his food bowl right under his nose).

Glad to hear you've gotten comfortable with the fluids. I still find it a little intimidating, but now that I know I can do it, it's not so bad. You're lucky Trixie is so cooperative. Cinco wants nothing to do with it. When he was really sick early in this game, he would have been easy to do, but now that he feels pretty good, laying still on the counter is not on his list of things he likes to do. I'm glad we only have to give them to him once in a while.

Hope your day at tbp goes quickly and you can get some rest tonight. :-D

Woo hoo on the no fuds spike, and the nice slide after :-D . I did laugh at your misfortune with the kibble, not in a mean way, in a sympathetic one :lol: . I'm glad fast Trixie was too far away to notice ;-)

Paws crossed on the new/old dose bringing her back safely to the lagoon and giving you a pattern again :cool: . I love that she is loving her fuds, I hope you can work them into her routine. Have a good night, Amy!

I am definitely happy with this surf, especially with Paw Lickin' in the mix. I love seeing her love her fuds like that...

Trixie had a good day and it sounds like you did, too. (despite the kibble incident!). It's great that Trix is enjoying her fuds. No more Wellness, I think. I hope you'll be able to take her dose back down again, but even if that doesn't work, you have good procedures in place.
