Thank you Monique for the Irish rover's link in yesterday's Condo...I have never heard that song at all so now I am informed....thank you so much for getting me up-to-speed! ;-)
(Spoiler alert...Puke talk)
Shadow was SO purry this morning and when i got the syringe ready, there he was on the testing towel waiting for me! So sweet. 7 days ago, he was @43 so now he is starting a new countdown...waiting for 2 <50 BG numbers before a dosecrease. I guess his Pancreas wants a little more time on the 1.0u. He is looking so great...something about him the past few days...really filled out and very healthy looking.
Anyway, I was reading some condos before I got into writing this, and all of a sudden....there was that noise...PUKE on it's way. Watch out below!!!!
He was in the hallway and naturally right on the 3X5 area rug that is ON the tiled floor of the hallway. He upchucked all over it and then started gakking his way into my bedroom rug!
I grabbed him and placed him on the tile floor and he deposited a little more there. There was a hairball in the middle of one of the piles. Darn. Why can't the hairball be barfed up all alone without the entire breffis? Timing is everything, right? I suppose I should say that I am happy that it is out of his system. right? I guess I am happy about that...But I am still thinking that now I am going to be washing that rug today. Laundry was not on my list. Might as well do it all as long as I am committed to cleaning that rug. Never a dull moment around here.

Ok, I am also happy that it wasn't on the living room rug...I can't pull that up and throw it into the washing machine. but I do have my trusty Bissel rug shampooer --never mind, I am happy it was on a throw rug. Sigh.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!! It is so glorious here...the perfect day....what are YOUR plans for the day?

Re: 3/10 Shadoe AMPS=148

lol, you're condo's always make me laugh - or go ewwwww

aren't u going garaging today? I love garaging, wish I could go, lol

Good boy Shadow- puke it up and get going with your day!!

"gakking" what a great word. I can relate to that word. A siren in the middle of the night won't wake me up but "gakking" will
Have a great day cleaning your rugs, and happy Caturday to you too ! :-D

It's a city-wide garage sale. Everyone can have a sale and there are people at my neighbor's house since 7:30am. maybe i will take a ride around...but the problem with garage sales is that you always buy stuff that you aren't really in the market for...you know, impulse buying. I have a lot of stuff that I wanted to sell and so did my daughter...last night we were going to get stuff organized. It's so much work to tag and get things ready.
Well, long story short: We decided it was a lot easier not to...

Shadow! You must stop this barfus nonsense! I thought Latte told you not to go down that road!

Pat - just hope the projectile vomit is one you never have to experience. Talk about a whole day shot cleaning everywhere! :?

Better numbers Shadow! Hoping you see a great green day!

And ya - the garage sales...did that once. It was like a bad bartending shift ($-wise), only it lasted 72hrs. Tho the grilling and margaritas helped make it seem much better.

have a great day Pat and Shadow...and Raja...and dh!

Love the gacking! Since my day is almost over, I can tell you what I did. I was planting roses and cleaning up the lawn. I found a little surprise....down in the corner of the lawn under the trees there is a fence that runs along the driveway. During the winter I had thrown the snow there and finally this week the last of the pile was melted away. As I was in the corner cleaning up the leaves and sticks something white appeared. At first I thought it was rock then on closer inspection I realized it was an egg! I got excited and couldn't imagine what kind of bird could have laid such a large egg. I picked it up and then I noticed the red stamp (all eggs sold in Germany are stamped with a code which identifies the farm and the expiration date) It was a chicken egg! No idea how it got there unbroken (shaking it I can tell it is raw inside) and it must have been under that snow pile all winter. I didn't dare to break it (I assume it could be quite stinky) maybe the Easter bunny left it for me :-D

Ahhhh, the lovely sound of the impending puke-fest. ...Why oh why do they love to use a rug, when there is so much bare floor available? If I hear Checks gagging, and I run and stick a newspaper under his head, he'll jump over it to puke on the carpet.
Pat, I do get a kick out of your condos. I agree about impulse buying. Someone else's junk is a treasure for me.
Enjoy that gorgeous Fla weather. We in West. NY, have a few more days of nice sun, before the midwest sends the storms this way.

If you have an entire house of hardwood floors and one piece of carpet 2 inches by 3 inches you can be sure that they will certainly "gak" as you call it on that tiny piece of rug.
Not a bad start for Shadow.....I know how you like to see green though...I do too.

Pat have you ever thought about writing children's books? I think you could take all of your posts in all of your threads and make a great story (minus the gakking parts). pc_work

Monique.....Putty misses your visits. :YMHUG:

Shadow you are a card!! Makes me laugh so hard with your antics!--Spring is lovely here in L.I. and the bulbs my DH planted are all coming up & opening...I have been brushing my guys everyday& it has really cut down on hairballs--also a little olive oil in the am food, makes those hairballs slide right thru to come out the right side!

Shadow doesn't look to bad today...yes, greens would be better, but I think, Shadow, along with Spot's other friends, have forgone their green ambgs so that they could send them to Spot. And we are very much appreciative!

About the Gaking...I'm glad it came AFTER you got his test...for his numbers sake! I often wonder why the carpet is more appealing to vomit on then the tile or hard wood. The other day when Spot was puking, he visited the livingroom, dining room, hallway and was on his way to my bedroom. He even puked on his carpeted kitty condo...Sigh...anything to keep us on our toes.

Lots of pukus stories in LL today. It must be spring fever. I'm not going to let Bear read this, because he will want to join in on the festivities.

Re: 3/10 Shadow AMPS=148
you do realize you are 10 1/2 days late of updating us on pmps!

Hope you got out garaging and collected some goodies, with the kids behaving back at home.

"gakking" :lol:

Happy to read he's all filled out and doing so well.

Y'know, them hairyballs are full of sugars!
