Hello dear friends! It's been quite a while since I posted an update. I hope you and your babies are all well.
As the rest of you, our thoughts and love are with Karen, Joe, and Moo
We will all miss Mr. Bossy Pants.
We become so attached to each others' kitties and also make lasting friendships here so the grief is throughout L/L Land when one of our babies crosses. I also think daily of Bron with her loss of sweet Sheba and now Jess, as well.
We send our congrats to @Bobbie And Bubba for Bubba returning to the falls. Lots of vines to all in need.
Tobey and Livia are doing well. She is the best thing that could have ever happened to him ...and us.....after losing our Baby Girl. Liv is now nine months old but teeny tiny...barely tips the scales at six pounds. She and Tobey are, I believe, even more tightly bonded than he and Gracie were because Gracie was a bit more independent. Tobey was always the less dominant cat so needed more of Gracie's attention than she did from him. But he and Liv....they are constantly together. He bathes her like she is his very own kitten and she loves it. They chase, romp, wrestle, and then snuggle together. (She always looks bigger in pictures than she is because she sprawls).
And the real bonus is she adores Lupita! She follows her everywhere on Fridays and Lupita calls her "my little Blueberry". Of course, Lupita is absolutely thrilled that Livvie loves her so much, wants to be near her, and never gives her the Stinkeye! But then, only LBG could do that stinkeye.
Livvie will be spayed and have surgery to widen her tiny nostrils on March 27. Mike and I are already dreading it but we have the best team for her.....we hear from several vets that the surgeon (who I've met twice and like very much) is the best in AZ and, of course, our long-time anesthesiologist, Dr. L, will be doing the anesthesia. She has a close working relationship with the surgeon. All prayers greatly appreciated. She will have to stay overnight in case she has any swelling around her nose so she can go in an oxygen cage.
It's been 15 months now since my Gracie crossed. It is still impossible for me to believe and she is always on my mind...every single day. I am thankful that she and all her very best buddies....Mannie, Tess, Muffin, Binks, Soul Sista Neko, Gabby, and her beloved BigMac are all together, poke free, and living large. I asked her to wait for Doodles and show him the ropes as he will miss his beloved Mommy so very much.
Lupita Fridays will never be the same but I hope that those of you who were here then will remember them and have a good laugh at all the things my sassy girl did to Lupita and how Lupita always had hope that one day The Principessa would love her.

She left a huge spot in your life and even though no one can ever fill her shoes, it is wonderful that she directed you to Livia to help fill some of the void and provide countless hours of entertainment for you and for Tobey. She even made amends with Lupita by finding a kitty that would allow Lupita to shower her with love...although I am sure Gracie loved Lupita in her own standoffish way. Gracie will always be an iconic kitty both with your family and with her FDMB family.
thank you, my dear, for the vines for Liv, and also for the condolences on my DBIL. It’s been a tough time; he was truly like a brother to me and my sister is really, really grieving.
