Hello dear friends! It's been quite a while since I posted an update. I hope you and your babies are all well.

As the rest of you, our thoughts and love are with Karen, Joe, and Moo

We will all miss Mr. Bossy Pants.
We become so attached to each others' kitties and also make lasting friendships here so the grief is throughout L/L Land when one of our babies crosses. I also think daily of Bron with her loss of sweet Sheba and now Jess, as well.

We send our congrats to @Bobbie And Bubba for Bubba returning to the falls. Lots of vines to all in need.

Tobey and Livia are doing well. She is the best thing that could have ever happened to him ...and us.....after losing our Baby Girl. Liv is now nine months old but teeny tiny...barely tips the scales at six pounds. She and Tobey are, I believe, even more tightly bonded than he and Gracie were because Gracie was a bit more independent. Tobey was always the less dominant cat so needed more of Gracie's attention than she did from him. But he and Liv....they are constantly together. He bathes her like she is his very own kitten and she loves it. They chase, romp, wrestle, and then snuggle together. (She always looks bigger in pictures than she is because she sprawls).

And the real bonus is she adores Lupita! She follows her everywhere on Fridays and Lupita calls her "my little Blueberry". Of course, Lupita is absolutely thrilled that Livvie loves her so much, wants to be near her, and never gives her the Stinkeye! But then, only LBG could do that stinkeye.

Livvie will be spayed and have surgery to widen her tiny nostrils on March 27. Mike and I are already dreading it but we have the best team for her.....we hear from several vets that the surgeon (who I've met twice and like very much) is the best in AZ and, of course, our long-time anesthesiologist, Dr. L, will be doing the anesthesia. She has a close working relationship with the surgeon. All prayers greatly appreciated. She will have to stay overnight in case she has any swelling around her nose so she can go in an oxygen cage.

It's been 15 months now since my Gracie crossed. It is still impossible for me to believe and she is always on my mind...every single day. I am thankful that she and all her very best buddies....Mannie, Tess, Muffin, Binks, Soul Sista Neko, Gabby, and her beloved BigMac are all together, poke free, and living large. I asked her to wait for Doodles and show him the ropes as he will miss his beloved Mommy so very much.

Lupita Fridays will never be the same but I hope that those of you who were here then will remember them and have a good laugh at all the things my sassy girl did to Lupita and how Lupita always had hope that one day The Principessa would love her.

:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm so glad to hear Tobey and Livvie are getting along so well. How sweet that she likes Lupita so well. I always smile when I think of Lupita and Gracie.

Sending prayers Livvie's surgery goes well. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Lupita Fridays are certainly different now, but it's still good to get an update on all the goings on in the desert. I love that Liv is giving Pita the affection she never could get from Gracie. I still think Gracie secretly liked Lupita, but felt she had a reputation to uphold so could not show it. Perhaps she encouraged Liv to be nice to Pita in her stead.

It's just wonderful how well Tobey and Liv have bonded. I know you were so concerned about him after Gracie crossed. Apparently all he needed was a little blueberry! ;)

Sending lots of vines and prayers in advance for Liv's surgeries. I know she's in good hands, and with L&L Land vines flowing over her, she will come through it all with flying colors.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of, and miss, my babies, too. :( They become so intertwined in our lives and hearts that they don't ever really come loose, even when their physical presence is no more. But we wouldn't want to ever forget them, even a little, would we? Nor would we trade one day we had with them for less pain now. Such is love. :bighug:

Love these photos, Marje! What cute kitties and "little blueberry" is an apt name for your baby. Her stripey puffy tail is interesting on a short haired kitty. Good luck with the surgeries. :)

What a wonderful update on your little Livia. I often go through the posts on your FB page and am always struck but how much love is shared within the entire family and what a beautiful girl Livia is turning out to be.

Lupita Fridays will always belong to Gracie. Her antics and strong unique personality and of course her famous stink eye are what made Lupita Fidays...well Lupita Fridays!! She left a huge spot in your life and even though no one can ever fill her shoes, it is wonderful that she directed you to Livia to help fill some of the void and provide countless hours of entertainment for you and for Tobey. She even made amends with Lupita by finding a kitty that would allow Lupita to shower her with love...although I am sure Gracie loved Lupita in her own standoffish way. Gracie will always be an iconic kitty both with your family and with her FDMB family.

Sending lots of prayers and positive energy for her spay and "nose job". :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

Piling on the prayers and vines for Liv's surgery. :bighug::bighug::bighug: It sounds like you will have her in the best hands possible.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures and doing a Lupita Friday. I am really happy that Tobey and Livia are such best buds. I'm pretty sure LBG had a paw in that too, giving Tobey what he needed. I can hardly wait until I meet the bonded duo in person.

Lovely pictures Marje; thank you for sharing with us!
So happy to hear that Liv and Tobey get along so well. Sending some surgery vines for Liv and calming vines for you when she must stay at the vetty bean overnight.

What a happy family. Little blueberry seems to fit as she looks blue in the pictures. Sounds like the surgery is all planned out and in good hands. Hope Tobey will be okay with her out for the day.

Thank you for the update and pictures, Marje! Little Miss Livia is just beautiful, and seems to be becoming quite a character in her own right! How wonderful that she and Tobey have bonded so well and have such a loving relationship. And she has obviously made Lupita very happy, lol!

Prayers for and vines her upcoming surgeries!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

What a great report and so heart warming to think of how much Toby and Livia love each other and I now that Lupita has to be in her glory with the affection she is getting now . Tobey looks the proud big brudder :cat:

Sending lots of vines for the upcoming procedure for Livia. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you for Lupita Friday. It still amazes me how much I can miss a kitty who was never mine, and I can only imagine how hard it has been for you and Mike.

I'm so glad Tobey and Livvie have bonded well. My Chappy was a "groomer"; it brought a smile to my face every time I saw him taking care of one of the others. There's just something super-sweet about it all.

Piling on more vines and prayers for Livvie's upcoming surgery. :bighug:

ETA: My condolences on the passing of your brother-in-law, Marje. Many prayers to your family.

What a wonderful Friday surprise!

You are so right about how our own sugar cats become incredibly bonded with us and vice versa and how we form very special attachments to the kitties and their caregivers that are part of this amazing community.

I am elated that you and Mike and Tobey have found space in your hearts for Livvie. Quite honestly, I really doubted that you would be able to have a single kitty home despite your protestations. Livvie has clearly won everyone over.

I'm very happy to see a Lupita Friday post, it's been too long. Delightful pictures of Livia and Tobey ... and doesn't Lupita look just thrilled to be cuddling little Miss Blueberry.

Many vines for Livvie's upcoming surgeries and a speedy recovery so she can come home as soon as possible. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Always remembering the one and only LBG :bighug::bighug::bighug:

@carfurby Livvie loves Lupita and that makes everyone happy but, you are right....we all smile when we think of Lupita and Gracie and those Gracie expressions! thank you for the prayers...we will be happy to take them.

@Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey Yes, they are certainly very different but then Liv is certainly a different kind of kitten. I always watched Gracie to see if there was any inkling of love for Lupita; I have to say, nope haha. That little blueberry was exactly what Tobes needed! Thank you for the advance vines and prayers. I know you really miss your wonderful babies, too. I always admired your strength and still really do. You should be CG of the year!!

@Kris & Teasel Thank you.....I do love to look at their little faces. Lupita totally came up with the nickname “blueberry” and it’s really cute for Liv. Her tail is pretty wonderful!! She has a super plush coat. Thank you for the surgery wishes.

@Tuxedo Mom Thanks so much, Mary Ann. I hope your babies are well. Livvie was an absolutely adorable kitten but she is growing into a gorgeous cat although she’s still so tiny that she looks like a kitten! I truly appreciate your sweet comments about Gracie and Lupita Fridays. And we are always happy for the prayers and positive energy for the Wee One.

@Wendy&Neko Thank you for the prayers and vines, Wendy. We are so excited at your forthcoming visit!!! I do think LBG had a paw in the whole Livia thing. I was thinking I was so crazy for taking on a kitten that I knew would need surgery when there were others available but I do believe Missy G led me to Liv.

@Judy and Boomer Thank you and you’re welcome!! We appreciate the vines and I am certain I will need numerous adult beverages after it’s over just from the stress and so I can sleep since she will have to stay at the clinic overnight. I was actually thinking of asking if I could bring a blankie and pillow and sleep in an exam room with her!! I know..crazy cat lady!!

@Woodsywife She’s pretty blue!!! Well, we’re as prepared as we can be for the surgery. I’m sure Tobey will not be happy about her being gone overnight. Hope your sweet little PJ is doing well!!

@Ann & Maggie11 (GA) Ann!!! So great to see you on FDMB!! I hope you and Katie are well. I miss you, my friend.

@Osha thank you, Amanda for the prayers and vines. Liv is definitely her own little character but she is as sweet as it’s possible for a cat to be. I think that’s why Tobey loves her so very much....impossible not to.

@Bobbie And Bubba I also appreciate your vines for the Wee One! These two are really really bonded. If i can’t find Liv because she’s so tiny, I just have to look for Tobes! He is a very proud big brother!!

@Shelly & Jersey Hey girl!!! I’ve really missed you and I am glad to see that Jersey hasn’t succeeded in your demise ;) You are so sweet to miss Missy G ....it makes me remember how loved she is by everyone. Sweet Chappy! Did he ever groom Jersey :woot: thank you, my dear, for the vines for Liv, and also for the condolences on my DBIL. It’s been a tough time; he was truly like a brother to me and my sister is really, really grieving.

@Sienne and Gabby (GA) Haha!!! Of course, everyone knew (but us, of course) that we couldn’t stay a single cat household. I will continue to blame Tobey but whatever the reason, getting Liv was what we all needed. She’s a healer, our little blueberry.

@Gill & George Oh yes....Lupita is very pleased and carries that baby around all the time and Liv is happy as a clam to let her. She is purty cute!!! Thanks for the vines!!

@suki & crystal (GA) Sweet Suki, my friend. So good to see you here. I’ve been meaning to send you pictures and just haven’t had a chance with all going on with my family. Thank you for the vines. And especially for remembering my precious Baby Girl. :bighug:
:bighug: :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

"Blueberry" - that is perfect! And totally cracks me up. :joyful: :joyful: :joyful: I'm glad Livvie likes Lupita, since Gracie made poor Lupita suffer so much. And I'm glad that Tobey and Livvie are such good buds. Gobs of vines for the surgery, be glad to have that over with.
Liz

What a wonderful update! I love that Lupita calls Livvie "Blueberry" -- and, of course, Tobey's fondness of his kitten warms my heart. I will be sending endless vines Livvie's way (and tons of calming hugs for you and Mike!).

adding prayers and vines for a successful surgery, quick healing and a Blue-ti-ful new nose.....
I knew there would be another kitty....
the heart just grows bigger and bigger .... never forgetting all whom we love....
what a wonderful blessing....

Dear Marje! It is so good to see a Lupita Friday! I do miss hearing about Gracie and her stink eye.
But how lovely that Livvie loves Lupita. The photos are lovely to see. Tobey and Livvie look very happy and contented together.
The name blueberry suits her perfectly. She does look like a big squishy blueberry. She also looks like a koala bear (with a big bushy tail) that has fallen into a large jar of blueberry jam.
I know you will be anxious until the operation is over, but it sounds like you have got the best team possible. Sending a huge plane load of Aussie vines to Livvie for a speedy recovery.
Thank you for thinking of Sheba, Jess and me. :bighug:

You know I adore the Liv & Tobey FB page and very much look forward to coming to play with them soon. Lots of vines and prayers Liv's spay and wee nose job. I'm open the 27th, just let me know.

I asked her to wait for Doodles and show him the ropes as he will miss his beloved Mommy so very much.
:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's so nice that the kitties bonded - that is always such an unknown. Very heartwarming that everything has worked out there in AZ
Vines for the surgery - sounds like she will be in very good hands

I got caught up in that board issue yesterday and couldn’t get on so just catching up.

@Anne & Zener GA Blueberry is pretty cute for her, Liz. She wants to see her Aunties from Flagstaff soon. So does Tobey. Thanks for the gobs of vines; we gladly accept them!

@Josie & Ripley (GA) Another Auntie who hasn’t been to visit in a few months and who the kits would love to see. Absolutely Tobey loves his little kitten girl. A match made especially for the two of them. Thank you for the vines for us all!!

@rhiannon and shadow (GA) We also appreciate your prayers and vines. Love the “Blue-ti-ful” nose haha. Very cute. Livvie has definitely been a wonderful blessing for us all.

@Bron and Sheba I miss writing about Gracie and Lupita and their weekly issues. Tobey and Livvie are inseparable which is good for them both. Love the “koala bear that has fallen into a large jar of blueberry jam”. When she was born, the breeder even said, “I think we have a koala here!!”. It just makes her more adorable because she is so unique in so many ways. We will happily take that plane load of Aussie vines! Thinking of you all, Bron. :bighug: :bighug: :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

@Doodles & Karen You are one of their biggest FB fans!! I will be very happy when you feel up to stretching your wings a bit and coming down here. I don’t think that Mike plans on sitting with me at the vet on the 27th....he just would pace the entire time; we can talk and see what you are up for. Big hugs, my friend.

@Carol & Murphy You are so right that it is always an unknown but we know Tobey pretty well and he’s never even hissed.....he is a mega sweetheart who has never been without other cats so I was certain he was going to love having a playmate. But what was more important was finding one that would love him and Liv just seemed to have the perfect personality. Thankfully, she was around a couple other adult cats as a baby in her kitten room and it made it so easy for her to bond with Tobey; she wasn’t intimidated by his size. Thank you for the vines!!

Hi Marje, love the photos of your Tobey and Livvie. They are adorable together and I love hearing stories about kitty besties! I was not here when you did Lupita Fridays, but boy do I wish I could hear about some of Gracie's stories. Sounds like she was quite the character. It's really sweet that your new kitty likes Lupita. She probably finally feels like part of the kitty family with this new love given to her from Livvie.

I hope all goes well with the surgery and sending prayers and calming thoughts to you and Mike. Also my prayers and condolences are with you for your DBIL. I am so deeply saddened to hear this news and send my prayers for your DSIL as well. I hope you all find healing in your hearts soon.

Hi Marje, Tobey (my Other Best Boy), and Livvie,
I'm a bit late seeing this beautiful condo, since we spent Friday getting home from NYC in a snowstorm and were tired. I love the pics, especially the one of Livvie and Tobey. It is wonderful that Tobey is taking such good care of his little sister, and that they adore one another. I know that Gracie is watching and smiling.
Lots and lots of vines for Livvie's surgeries.

:bighug::bighug::bighug: to the whole family, and to Lupita. That's a great pic of her and Livvie!
