I feel like the high numbers we're seeing will go away if we stop pushing him too low with even the tiny dose we're down to. It's practically impossible to go any lower, we're using .5 needles and eyeballing the dose in the middle.

We think tonight he gets no dose.

Of course. Our methods were set up using a human meter. While many vets prefer vet meters we have not been able to tell for sure the equivalent bg reading. When cats are ready to possibly be diet controlled especially it makes it easier to decide when using a human meter. We like to see all green and mostly under 100 or even better 80 before starting a otj trial as that gives a better chance of a strong remission.
