I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. It was a great day for me yesterday. I managed to dodge the latest rain storm coming through here, well sorta dodge it, and make it out and about for a while. It was a nice hike to Meadowdale, a bit wet, but nice. It sure was a wet one here yesterday, rains all morning until about noon or so, then just cloudy damp and some fog thrown in for good measure. Here's what I wrote about the day in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We have been busy here. :-D we did fairly well, once the morning rain onslaught was over. It was supposed to dump here all day, that kinda stopped once I got home today. Figures, huh. We made 57/58 about 2, been hovering there ever since, but not much sun. Thinking that it would rain here all day I took advantage of the first weather break I saw about 8 or so, hit the trails then. It figures that the rains picked up as soon as I was a quarter of the way into it, rained the rest of the time. We had some fog too. So... got a little wet. But it was nice there, no one out and about but me. I got alot done at home with the rest of the day. Finally finished my photo CD back ups, cleaned the house. :? Not too terribly exciting, but at least we are good to go now for the week. YaHOO! "

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. With the weather being so stormy and wet in the morning the kitties were in bed mode most of the day yesterday. SMART! Elsa had to go out for a bit, she insisted. It was so reminiscent of the last time she went out in the rain. It wasn't two minutes later when I turned around and saw her at the door, paws and front legs stretched up as high as she could reach on the glass of the slider door, with these loud meows. Translation? " LET ME IN! NOW!!!!" So I did, and dried her off. Silly cat.  It is the same every time she goes out when it is raining. It was cleaning day yesterday in the afternoon. I had TWO helpers this time. Bug decided to help Lola supervise my efforts.  Both helped with the dust mop too.   They are so fun. I had to laugh yesterday when Lola was playing with her paper sack, made this flying run into it, slid across the floor into her water dish. Water was just everywhere. She was so perturbed that her paper bag was all wet.   Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. If the weather clears some I may go do some local hiking. so I will hope for a weather window. I've been looking at making it over the mountain passes to do some hiking in warmer eastern Washington, but need to check the weather out more there too. :-D Spring cannot come soon enough.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Sounds like a great weekend there, other than the rain. Good kitties. yay! That is a great thing too. Have a wonderful day Michelle, whatever you decide to do!

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did great. I elected early on to head on out, in search of sunny skies, and maybe some hiking time. :-D We ended up doing fairly well here weather wise. Sunny skies and mid 50's , after a wet rainy and gloomy start. We have a gorgeous sky out there tonight. I ended up going to Whidbey Island. At the time it was the sunny spot, so went to hike Ebey's Landing. I like that place. even in rotten weather it is nice. Had a nice cliff hike, weather was good. I had forgotten though how WINDY it is at Whidbey, especially when one if on the edge of the island, Dang that was blowing. It was a fun time though. Saw alot of eagles too. The surf was pounding too, sure was pretty. On a lark on the way home I stopped at the Deception Pass Bridge, and walked that.It is a suspension type bridge, very high up, and covers the Northwest Passage waters. It really was just too nice out not to stop. I walked up and back, both sides. In the process I found the Goose Rock trails. After all this time... I have never known where they were before. Sheeshhh! What I did was nice, easy peasy, but nice. I will have to go back and do them all some time. it was a nice place. So went the day. I am ever so glad I just took off this morning. Sure beats staying home. :-D I will post the Picassa photo link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) LOL, yes her bag got wet, not a happy kitty!  It has since dried, and she is back to the floor slides. THX, I went in search of the sun, found a great spot to hike and walk some. YaHOO!
Auntie Ann! THEY ARE! I love cheery cherry Mondays. They is perfect! I will bring you a cheery cherry frappe tonight. On my way! ~~ Elsa, KBP

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Michelle - I am glad you found your sunshine. It's been blue skies all day here and warm, but yes on the windy here too, though not as much as it probably was on Whidbey. I look forward to the pictures, it's so beautiful there. And I saw the first rhodo blooming today.

Scritches to the fur kids. Elsa sounds so much like Neko on going outside. Insisting sometimes in spite of the rain but hightailing it back in no time.

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Hi Michelle! It's so nice of Bug and Lola to help you clean! And poor Elsa, thinking she wanted to go out in the wet...silly girl. It's a good thing she has a great bean that will dry her off :-D . I agree on the spring can't come soon enough statement! It's nice you got out today for a little sun. I hope you are having a nice evening

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Hi Wendy - Me too on the sunshine! had to drive a ways to get it, but that's ok by me. :-D True on the winds there - that was crazy, but at least it didn't feel cold. ;-) THX on the pics - they will be up tomorrow, and you are very right! I love it there, so incredibly beautiful, every where one looks. You just can't beat deception pass, all the trails and parks. I could spend a week there, just exploring it all. Oh wow on your first Rhody bloom! AWESOME! I love those flowers - so pretty! and yes, that is Elsa HAS to go out, then right back in over and over and over again.  Silly cat.

Hi Rachel - I thought so too. They are so silly, have to be in the middle of it all. Bug makes sure I don't touch his stuff (just like Mannie did), and Lola is busy chasing the vacuum.  Elsa cracks me up - she does that all the time, and yet back at it she goes with the next opportunity. Me too on spring and that sun today. That was so nice!

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Poor Lola with her bag getting all wet. My civvie Petey does those slides, but he jumps into a box. At first I thought it was a fluke, but it became apparent very quickly he was doing it on purpose. Gotta admit, kitties are very creative! Silly Elsa, too....sometimes you have to wonder what is going on in their furry little heads!

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

Any special reason it is called deception pass? Sounds almost spooky to me  I think a suspension bridge would be a good way to conquer a fear of heights

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

 How funny Lola didn't like her bag getting wet. I'm glad you got to get out and have a nice hike. I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Re: 3/10 LOOSE LIPS: rainy days... Happy CHEERY CHERRY MONDA

OPPS! Missed all this... sorry guys.

Amy - I think amybe she does, do it on purpose. It seemed like she didn't figure out on ho wet wet could be.  Funny, since she really does like the water, will drink out of the faucet etc. Silly cat! I do believe those slides are on purpose. I know on Elsa.... shesshh! ;-)

Hi Jane - I'm not too sure why they call it Deception Pass... I will have to look and see, as now my curiosity level is up. oh yes on that Bridge - it can be a bit unnerving when one stand in the middle and looks down.... it is a long ways down there.

Hi Carla - I know - she didn't. Funny, and weird too becasue she for the most part, does like the water. Guess she felt bags should not be wet. THX on yesterday - it as fun, and I hope you like the pics. :-D
