We crashed out at 11 PM last nite and as you are all aware its tough to test while you are sleeping.

The weather report says it is currently 29 degrees and sunny...and a high of 60 today! in Hunterdon County.

We were at this point almost 5 years ago when he was first dx'd

Its like 5 years of testing, dosing, tracking,didnt exist.

Talk about frustrating.

How is Frankie feeling? I know it has only been a couple of days but some people see a difference in their kitties right away when starting Lantus.....not necessarily in the numbers but in the way they act.

Frankie is close to the yellows, I bet he'll get there today. I'll have Spot give him a yell and see if he can talk him into showing a nice shade of green for St. Patty's day!

Only prior to his dx and a month after when we first began our trip to the Feline Diabetes whirlwind, he showed me he wasnt feeling too well.

He has always been annoying. He's a cat. Bugs me for food, wakes me up when he needs a shot (or used to) gets into little fights with his brother, bolts onto counters and things start crashing at the wierdest hours of the day, tracks litter all over the place,(I am their personal maid, chauffeur, doctor, valet, groomer, bread winner, worrier) and all he does is lay around the house all day and pretend he doesnt hear me or understand what I am saying.

Wouldnt have it any other way though.

Hey Jay - I hear ya about the NJ/NY thing. When I moved up here from PA - I thought the same thing - shall I pay in my commute or my living accommodations. I decided I wanted space and trees and I've got 2 direct train lines and it works out well. As long as NJ transit does its job!

Glad to see Frankie doing better today. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint and Frankie is a tortoise not a hare. He will get there, just in his own time.

I don't believe I've seen any pics of your cats, would you please share? Do you know how to link or embed them into your posts?

The communte from here is a breeze.

Express Bus stops in front of my bldg. 20 minutes later I'm at the Port Authority.

I have some pics but the file sizes are too large for me to upload. I tried.

Will try and get some more pics taken with a smaller file size.

I told you that Moonie waits for the very last cycle, of the 6 we wait after a new dose, to show me any changes--She's just stubborn I guess!

He was 199 at +4 and its almost time for a poke..5 minutes..I'll update the header then.

How can I avoid looking at the whole cat...he's like constantly in my face.

When I am at my desk,,he fights me for the keyboard..loses and sits under the lamp as if he were trying to get tan.

When I am watching tv.,.he plays with the remote.

When I try and get into bed, I have to push him over to make room for me.

Now multiply that by 2. I got Chubby to contend with too.

Ha ha MY "Chubby" Jackson just about said that but luckily I caught him as he was on his way out the door with a backpack and I convinced him to stay. CLOSE CALL!!! PHEW.Civies need attention too :razz: (I didn't have the heart to tell him that he would never have been able to reach the elevator button)

Had no internet all day until almost 6PM..bummer. How is Frankie doing today?

Frankie and Chubby are doing far better then I am. In terms of this diabetic thing, I had him in the 200's most of the day.

Not great, not bad either.

They're sleeping in my bed, and I'm typing.

Do you think that if you did tell Jackson he couldnt reach the buttons it would have mattered? Somehow they find a way to get what it is that they want/need.

Its like going cold turkey. I've been down, with hard drive crashes, hours and hours of tech support, access issues.

actually, yes...it WAS on my list(along with looking for a job) :mrgreen: I have a VOIP phone. I have that 'triple-play thing' I was disgusted today...so I just decided to get stuff at Target, listen to music, clean and hang with the kitties(we played hard-they got new toys)
