Of course, you have one day at the beach and then you want another one so I was kind of hoping for a blue number this morning but that’s OK, we’ll see how the rest of the day goes.

Photo is of my cat family, Disco NoFurNo, FurryDance Brighton & Coco the Couture Cat, napping on my bed yesterday… Does anyone else not make your bed just so the cats can snuggle in the covers?

+7 62, oh boy I don’t want to have to do another reducie but he’s heading down to the 50’s pretty fast, wonder if I shouldn’t give him a teaspoon of MC as it still three hours till his +11. He’s been getting his usual 1 to 2 tsps of LC after each spot test as it is.

Well I decided to go for it and give him a scant teaspoon of 13% MC

75 @ +8... I suppose that could be the 20% variation in readings but I’m happy with it

I think I might hit the MC here, if I were you, with one caution: looking at Disco's spreadsheet, his numbers have been better than previous reductions, he may actually be (truly) ready for another one soon. So, I wouldn't want to make a habit of always assuming that he fails reductions and carbing to avoid them.

For today, though, he's on such a steep and continuous downward slope, I think it's a good time to try tapping the MC brakes and see how he does. Eventually, you will crack the code of Disco and get him to start surfing reliably!

[Edited to add: this is, as usual, Disco-specific advice only. For most cats, we try to avoid too many carbs in the second half of the cycle, as it can shorten the duration of insulin action. That just doesn't happen to be Disco's problem, like, at all ;)]

U R Pawsome! I totally agree with what you said and I promise not to make a habit of it... because you are right, he may be ready for a reducie!

Good job with the MC today. :D Your goal should be to try to flatten him out so he sees as much green as possible, not a goal of earning reductions. The green is where the pancreas heals. If Disco really wants a reduction, he’ll show you in spite of a little MC.
