DC's numbers are slowly coming down. Hopefully he'll clear the bounce today.
DC is doing well. I think the polysporin is helping his ears.
Only 4 P's in place so far today.
I had a question about pen tips late in yesterdays condo. I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer?

I was just wondering if it's ok to use the insulin pen with the pen tips when I'm dosing a full 1 unit?
The only syringes I have left are the long ones and I'm having trouble shooting with them.
I keep going right through the tent.
I was at the pharmacy today and they were out of the shorter ones. They won't be in stock until Saturday or Monday.
The pharmacist gave me some pen tips to use until the syringes come.
I was just wondering what the thought is on that?
I know they can't be used when dosing in 1/4 units. Curious about when dosing full units.

Re: 3/10 DC AMPS=176 +4=182 question

From what I've read elsewhere, the pen needles don't accurately dose small doses like 1 unit... you have to get up to 5 or even 10 units before you can be sure you're getting the dose you're dialing up.

Re: 3/10 DC AMPS=176 +4=182 +6=178 PMPS=229 PEN question

I used the pen for DC's am shot and last nights pm shot.
I went back to the syringe for the pm shot tonight.
Maybe that has something to do with the higher numbers?
Or he hasn't quite cleared the bounce yet?
I'm still waiting for the pharmacy to get syringes in, so I'm using the long ones without 1/2 units on them.
Good thing I don't need the 1/2 units quite yet.

Re: 3/10 DC AMPS=176 +4=182 +6=178 PMPS=229 PEN question

I think this is the pen. I don't really think this is a bounce unless DC is going way low overnight. (Speaking of which, please get spot checks during the PM cycle!)
