Day 8 for Bubby OTJ and lately numbers have been trending lower. Last night at test time on the Relion he tested 26 so I fed him ASAP and as soon as he finished eating tested with the ATrax and got 60.

Clearly my Relion runs low but what is the good range for ATrax numbers? I looked around on the site and online and couldn't find an answer to this but I'm sure it must be here somewhere.

I just found the Iams I am feeding on the new food chart and it is supposedly 19% carbs. I could never find this on the previous chart. He use to get primarily 3% venison with a bit of the Iams dropped on top to get him to eat good. Now he is getting 70% of the higher carb food with only 30% of the 3 carb food but still getting these low readings. Maybe we need a vet visit.

I thought when he went into remission most of my worrying would be done but alas no.

Happy Day 8!

I don't think there is a chart anywhere for Alphatrax numbers. I know 68 is a number that's low if a cat is on insulin, but I don't know any other numbers.

Carla is correct -- there isn't a chart for AT numbers. The best we know is that a 68 on an AT is roughly equivalent to a 50 on a human meter. After that, it becomes guesswork.

I thought if a cat was not on insulin then there was no risk of hypo? Also, some cats just run lower than others?

Yes, that's true. But there are conditions that can cause low BGs, too, so it's never a bad idea to have a kitty checked when the numbers seem unusually low.
