Teeny weeny little bit of a bounce I suppose, but she's heading down! No greenie just yet, though, but it does help a little that she's up a hair since her vetty visit falls in the neighborhood of +4.

Her check up is at 10:00 this morning. I'll be late for work because of it, but it was the best way to time it for a variety of reasons, the main one being she'll hopefully have urine available to draw! Last time we took her too close to mealtime, and she always pees right before or right after a meal, so she had an empty bladder and DH had to take her back a second time for the draw. I'm hoping to avoid that this time.

Frankie did pretty well last night - she did scratch a little, but not TOO much. Someone asked last night if I had tried a drop of Rescue Remedy on top of the treats...I haven't tried that one yet, so maybe we'll give it a whirl.

Today is also my civvie triplets, Noah, Petey, and Zen's, birthday - they are 11 years old. My, how time flies! Happy birthday, little boys!

Gotta start moving....I should be able to report when I get back from the vetty, before I head to work. Have a great day, LL!

Amy

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 - Vetty day

H Amy, sorry the calming treats did not work the other night, but glad to hear last night was better with Frankie. I hope the new ones help and also the Rescue Remedy suggestion. Sending good Vetty vines for Trixie.
Happy Birthday to Noah, Petey, and Zen. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 - Vetty day

Happy birthday Zen, Petey and Noah :-D Time really does fly doesn't it? :YMSIGH:
Wanted to send you good vetty vines today and hope it doesn't mess with Trix's mojo too much. And Yay for a little improvement last night with Frankie! By the sounds of how she can go on, a little is so much better than nothing  Hope that means you and DH got some decent sleep time.
How did the 2nd coat go yesterday? I have defaulted to believe that we are two pea families in a pod. If we have a day off tbp, we are doing renos  Our drywall is still in progress as DH is waiting for me to run the new circuit wires for the kitchen and relocate the switches and some plugs, but we've got what we can buttoned up.

Have a great Saturday and hoping tbp is busy with shoppers wanting to empty their wallets on some of your beautiful merchandise! :-D

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 - Vetty day

@Kim - I ran out of joint compound during the second coat  - only got about half way through! As a newbie, I think I'm probably a little too generous with the stuff, and I know I have a LOT of sanding to do before I can go for the third coat. DH picked up 3 more tubs on his way home.

@Ann - thanks for the vetty vines and birthday wishes for the boys! We love when AuntieAnnBean visits!!

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 - Vetty day

From what I've seen, the dwallers are also generous with it. Looks like one of those things you don't scrimp on, so I'm thinking you did perfect :-D

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 +5 94 - Vetty Update

Thank you for all the vines and birthday wishes, everyone!

We're back! It was a fairly uneventful visit. She does need a dental cleaning, but it doesn't look like she'll need any extractions - although we'll know that for sure once they do the x-rays and get started. While she's under, we're going to have them remove a sebaceous cyst that she's had on her left shoulder for several years. The vet doesn't think it needs to be biopsied, and removing it is more of a preventive measure, to reduce the risk of future infections or issues with it. Our GA civve, Mario, had a cyst that really took off when he got older, and by the time that happened, he really wasn't a candidate for surgical removal because of his other health issues, so we want to avoid having that happen with Trix. And, she does seem to have a very slight murmur, which the vet said the had noticed before. I have to admit, I don't remember that, but with all the kitties here, it's hard to keep some of these things straight. So, they will do a chest x-ray as well before putting her under, just to make sure it's OK to go ahead with the procedures. I have a lot of confidence in our vet - they are very thorough and take a lot of precautions, and they have a lot of experience with surgical procedures on non-simple cases. Her BW should be back tomorrow, and once we have that, we'll figure out when the dental and cyst removal will be.

She was a good girl, so she got an extra special treat of 4 kibbles when we got back.

PS - Angela - Thanks for the vines for Frankie. She's not actually sick...she has some nighttime separation anxiety issues, so we've been trying various calming treats to see if that helps her. More than anything, I think she's really just seriously nocturnal and wants the beans to participate! The scratching I was referring to was her scratching at our bedroom door during the night.

Gotta get to work now. Have a great day, LL!

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 +5 94 - Vetty Update

I'm glad the vetty visit went well and is all over and done with, that must be a relief :-D . Trixie even did a nice slide to the lagoon! It's good they can remove the cyst while she is under anyways, and that they are so thorough. I hope the BW is perfect ;-)

Happy Birthday to the triplets, scritches to them all! party_cat party_cat party_cat

Good luck with the RR/treat thing for Frankie. I hope it results in many, many good nights of sleep  . Have a great day at work, Amy!

Re: 3/1 Trixie AMPS 145 +2 132 +5 94 - Vetty Update

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

I am glad Trixie survived vetty. I will hope for good BW, and expect all will be well there. Nice time to remove that cyst too. BJ has one of those, and we did the same thing: removed it when she had her dental. Interesting on the murmur, and I hope it is no big deal. Bug has one too, and for him it has not proved to be an issue. Good healthy vines for Trixie!

And nice BG's too! Wow, green after a vetty visit? Way cool. Trixie you rock! I just had this flash memory - Mannie inevetibaly would go green after a vetty visit. Sometimes even dive. I can remember telling my vet that whenever he had to go, spend even a hour or two that they needed to check him., Her comment: but kitties don't usually do that. OH haha, no perhaps they don't, but Mannie never did play by the rules. anyways - Trixie - you surf well today, 'K? Love your green! COOL - you gt kibble treats today? Your bean is way cool!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Zen, Petty and Noah. Party hearty guys! party_cat

Have a great day Any - I hope all goes well.

Happy Birthday to The Triplets :RAHCAT

I'm glad the vetty visit went well, Amy. I had a cyst removed from Tux's leg, when he was out for a dental too. It never came back. Hope Miss Trixie's doesn't either. WooHoo on the slide to the lagoon

I haven't mentioned this to you, because I always thought it was just Checkers, but he always relaxed after rubbing Rescue Remedy on his forehead, down his nose. He loved that anyway, so not sure if the RR did anything.

I hope you're having a good day, Amy!
Give The Triplets some headbutts for me :-D :-D :-D

A nice surf into PMPS for Trix.

Thank you for all the visits and additional RR ideas! I'm going to get some and try them out, hopefully one day next week (after we dig out yet again).

Sending tons of extra prayers out to Deborah and Shasta....

Thank you for the extra prayers for Shasta. She is stretched out on her blanket next to me...napping. Glad you had a very uneventful, yet good vetty visit! Sending special prayers and vines for a successful procedure for Trix. And Happy Birthday to the triplets!!! Thank you, again, for thinking about us today. These little furballs have us right where they want us! :-D

Glad the vet visit went so well. It does sound like you have a great vet. Sorry Trix has to have a dental but SS you said! it's a good chance to remove the cyst.

Lots of birthdays in LL today! Hershey, Suzanne, and the triplets!!
